Marcus Fenix is back, and within the first firefight it is obvious the series has not lost its teeth. Gears of War: E-Day drops you into Emergence Day itself — the moment the Locust tore through Sera and rewrote the planet’s history — and the campaign wastes no time reminding you why this franchise defined the cover-shooter. Headshots land with that unmistakable wet crunch, the Lancer’s chainsaw revs with menace, and the whole thing feels like a series that took a long break and came back sharper, not softer.

For anyone weighing where to spend their gaming budget this fall, the short version is simple: this is the most confident Gears campaign in years, and it is the clearest signal yet that Xbox’s biggest first-party franchises are being treated as event releases again.

A Prequel That Earns Its Place in the Timeline

E-Day is a prequel, and prequels live or die on whether they justify revisiting familiar ground. This one does. Setting the story on the day the Locust emerged gives the campaign a desperation the later games never quite captured — you are not mopping up a known enemy, you are watching soldiers discover, in real time, that everything they understood about Sera is wrong. A younger Marcus and Dom anchor the emotional core, and the writing leans into their partnership rather than treating it as background lore.

The pacing is the real surprise. Set-pieces hit hard, but the quieter stretches between battles are where the campaign builds its tension, and the developers resist the temptation to pad the runtime with filler encounters. It is a tighter, more deliberate experience than the franchise’s recent entries.

Combat That Refuses to Compromise

Mechanically, E-Day is pure Gears — weighty, tactical, and brutal. Cover still matters, the active-reload system still rewards nerve, and the gore remains gleefully over the top. What is new is the texture around the edges: smarter enemy flanking, more verticality in level design, and encounters that force you to keep moving rather than camp behind a chest-high wall. Co-op is built in from the ground up, and playing the campaign with a partner remains one of the best cooperative experiences on the platform.

There are rough edges. A handful of encounters lean on enemy-sponge difficulty spikes, and the checkpointing can be stingy. But these are nitpicks against a combat loop that still feels best-in-class more than a decade after the original redefined the genre.

Why This Launch Matters for Xbox’s Strategy

The business story here is as interesting as the game. E-Day arrives across Xbox, PC, and — notably — PlayStation 5, confirming that Microsoft’s biggest exclusives are now platform-agnostic revenue drivers rather than console-selling walls. For a company that spent years debating the value of exclusivity, shipping a flagship Gears game everywhere is a statement: the franchise is a brand first, a system-seller second.

For players and investors alike, that shift matters. A strong, well-reviewed Gears campaign landing on every major platform widens the audience, strengthens Game Pass’s value proposition, and gives Xbox a tentpole heading into a crowded fall release window.

The verdict: Gears of War: E-Day is a loud, bloody, confident return that respects the series’ roots while tightening everything around them. It is not a reinvention, and it does not need to be. If you have ever enjoyed a Lancer in your hands, this is an easy recommendation — and one of the strongest reasons to own a gaming rig this autumn.

Our Wardogs early access review breaks down Team17's 100-player shooter: chaotic King-of-the-Hill battles, a refreshingly fair model, and real rough edges.

The post Wardogs Early Access Review: Big Battles, Rough Edges appeared first on Bizznerd.

Wardogs is the rare multiplayer shooter that lives up to its own hype and then dares you to keep playing. Team17’s 100-player military shooter, built by British studio Bulkhead, has already pushed past 200,000 concurrent players and pulled in close to half a million during its beta. Now that early access has opened the doors to everyone, the question for entrepreneurs watching the live-service space and for players spending their evenings on it is the same: does the game underneath the numbers actually hold up? After too many botched parachute landings to admit to, my answer is a cautious yes.

Skydiving Into a 100-Player Warzone

Every match begins with a jump, and that jump is the first thing Wardogs teaches you to respect. Pull the ripcord too early and a sharpshooter picks you out of the sky; pull it too late and you fold into the dirt. It is a small, punishing ritual that sets the tone for what follows. Up to 100 players land inside a compact two-by-two-kilometre slice of a far larger sandbox, and the core loop is deceptively simple: hold the contested ground, keep the most boots on it, and bank the points before the other side pushes you off.

That King-of-the-Hill structure is what makes the chaos legible. Instead of a scattered scramble, you get a moving front line, genuine choke points, and the kind of emergent squad warfare that milsim fans have wanted at this scale for years. When it clicks, Wardogs delivers battlefield moments that most shooters can only stage in a scripted campaign.

No Battle Pass, No Nonsense

The smartest thing Wardogs does has nothing to do with combat. There is no battle pass, no pay-to-win economy, and no cash-shop power creep waiting to nickel-and-dime you into an advantage. Cosmetics are earned by playing, not bought by the impatient. In a genre where aggressive monetization has become the default and a frequent trigger for player revolts, that restraint reads as both a design choice and a business bet.

It is a bet worth respecting. By skipping the grind-and-spend treadmill, Bulkhead is wagering that a fair upfront deal and a loyal community will outlast the churn of seasonal storefronts. For anyone burned by predatory live-service games, that trust is the whole pitch, and it is the reason Wardogs feels less exhausting to invest in than its rivals.

Early Access Growing Pains

This is still early access, and it shows. Servers can buckle under the weight of a full lobby, spawns occasionally drop you into a crossfire, and the sniper-heavy meta can make your first hour feel like a slideshow of death screens rather than a shooter. The learning curve is steep, and the game does little to hold a newcomer’s hand through its systems.

None of these problems are fatal, but they are the difference between a great shooter and a merely promising one. The tight, satisfying gunplay that the best shooters live on is mostly here, yet balance passes, better onboarding, and server stability all need to land before Wardogs can call itself finished. Early adopters are effectively play-testers, and that expectation should be set going in.

The Verdict: Worth Enlisting Early

Wardogs is a big, ambitious shooter with a genuinely fair heart, and that combination is rare enough to reward a little patience. The scale is thrilling, the no-battle-pass model is exactly what a burned-out audience wants, and the moment-to-moment fighting is strong even when the surrounding systems wobble. If Bulkhead holds its nerve through the rough patches, Wardogs could become the massive-scale shooter that trades a viral spike for a lasting community. For now, enlist with your eyes open: you are buying a great foundation, not a finished war.

The story director on Gears of War: E-Day was laid off just days after the game went gold, as Microsoft's cuts keep hitting accomplished Xbox teams.

Shipping a game used to feel like job security. Not anymore. The story director on Gears of War: E-Day was laid off only days after the game went gold — the industry term for development being finished and ready to manufacture. It is a jarring sequence of events: finish the work, hit the milestone, and then lose the job before the release even lands. For anyone tracking the business of games, it is the clearest sign yet that finishing a project no longer protects the people who made it.

Going Gold Should Be a Victory Lap, Not a Pink Slip

Hitting gold is one of the biggest moments in a development cycle. It means the game is locked, tested, and done — the payoff for years of overtime and creative grind. A story director sits at the heart of that effort, shaping the narrative spine that everything else hangs on. Cutting that role the moment the work is complete tells other developers something uncomfortable: your value is tied to the task in front of you, not the finished product you helped deliver.

The timing is what stings. Layoffs are grim in any context, but doing it right after a team crosses the finish line reads less like restructuring and more like treating experienced talent as a line item to be trimmed the instant it is no longer strictly needed.

Another Cut in Microsoft’s Long Restructuring

This isn’t an isolated decision. It lands amid a broader wave of Microsoft cuts that has rippled across its gaming division for well over a year, hitting studios and departments regardless of how well their projects were tracking. The company has spent heavily to assemble one of the largest portfolios in gaming, and it is now aggressively managing headcount against that spend.

We’ve watched the same pressure play out elsewhere in the Xbox family, from unionized teams warning about annual layoffs to studios cutting deals to split off entirely and keep their own IP. A high-profile franchise like Gears offers no immunity.

What It Means for Talent and the Business

For entrepreneurs and operators, there is a hard lesson here about culture and retention. When your most accomplished people learn that hitting the milestone can precede a layoff, the rational response is to stop treating any single employer as a long-term home. That erodes institutional knowledge, weakens future projects, and quietly raises the cost of every hire that follows.

The Gears franchise itself has always been bigger than any one caretaker — even its original creator has spoken openly about how ego and turnover reshape a studio’s fortunes. But a series built on brotherhood and loyalty losing key creative voices the week its next chapter is finished is a bad look, and a worse omen for morale.

Gears of War: E-Day is done and on its way. The people who wrote it deserved a better send-off than being shown the door on the way to the printer.

Microsoft is capping Xbox Cloud Gaming hours for Game Pass and admits most subscribers barely use it. Here is what the move signals about streaming economics.

Microsoft is putting a ceiling on Xbox Cloud Gaming hours for Game Pass subscribers — and in the same breath admitting that most people barely use the feature anyway. It is a small policy change with a big story behind it: cloud gaming is expensive to run, and even the company with the deepest pockets in the industry is quietly tightening the taps.

For entrepreneurs and anyone watching the economics of subscription services, this is the interesting part. When a provider caps a feature while noting that few customers hit the limit, it is telling you two things at once: the feature costs real money to deliver, and the company wants to protect its margins before usage climbs.

Why Cap Something Most People Don’t Use?

On the surface, capping a lightly used feature looks like a non-event. Very few subscribers stream enough hours to notice. But that is exactly why it is a smart defensive move. Streaming a game means running it on a server farm in real time for every single player — a cost that scales directly with usage. Local play on a console or PC pushes that cost onto hardware the customer already owns. Cloud play keeps it on Microsoft’s electricity bill.

By setting a limit now, while usage is low, Microsoft avoids a future where cloud demand spikes and margins get squeezed. It is the same playbook every subscription operator eventually runs: define the boundaries before the expensive customers show up, not after.

The Bigger Game Pass Math

This fits a pattern we have been tracking across Microsoft’s gaming business. The company has been open about financial pressure, as we noted when Xbox revenue fell $1.7 billion even as leadership projected growth ahead. Game Pass is the centerpiece of that strategy, and every lever — pricing tiers, day-one releases, and now cloud limits — is being tuned to make the subscription sustainable rather than just popular.

Cloud gaming was always sold as the shiny future: play anywhere, no download, no expensive box. But futures have running costs, and the honest version of that pitch is that streaming is a premium convenience, not a bottomless buffet. Capping hours reframes cloud play as a perk with limits rather than the core of the offer.

What It Means for Subscribers and the Market

For most Game Pass members, nothing changes day to day. The people who will feel it are the heavy cloud users — travellers, people without powerful hardware, and anyone who treats streaming as their main way to play. For them, the value equation shifts, and some may weigh whether a console or gaming PC makes more sense long term.

The wider signal matters more. Microsoft is still investing hard in the Xbox brand and reshaping where it competes, from bringing Halo to PlayStation to leaning into an AI-driven strategy. A cloud cap is a reminder that even ambitious platform bets have to answer to a spreadsheet. Convenience features get funded when they grow the business and trimmed when they only grow the bill.

The Bottom Line

Capping Xbox Cloud Gaming hours is a quiet move with a loud lesson: streaming games at scale is a cost centre, and even Microsoft manages it like one. Subscribers get a small trim to a feature most never max out, and the industry gets another data point that the all-you-can-play era has practical limits. Watch how the rest of the subscription market responds — when the biggest player draws a line, the others usually take out their rulers too.

The man who wrote the music for Banjo-Kazooie says the bear and bird could come back — if only someone at Rare or Microsoft would say yes. Composer Grant Kirkhope recently revealed that “like three companies” have pitched making a new Banjo-Kazooie game, and every one of them was turned down. It’s a small anecdote with a big lesson about how much value sits frozen inside a dormant gaming icon, and why the companies that own these characters so often leave them on the shelf.

What Grant Kirkhope Revealed

Kirkhope, whose credits stretch from the Banjo games to the Donkey Kong Rap, said he knows of roughly three separate outside companies that approached Microsoft or Rare about reviving the series. None succeeded. His blunt explanation: “Rare just typically say no to everything.” Even so, his own outlook has shifted. He used to insist there was zero chance of another Banjo-Kazooie, and now says he feels there’s at least a slight one — and that if it happened, he would “absolutely” want to be involved.

That’s a notable change in tone from someone with a front-row seat. It suggests the conversations are happening more often, and that the appetite — from studios and fans alike — hasn’t faded even after decades without a proper new entry.

Why Microsoft Sits on a Beloved IP

Banjo-Kazooie lives under the Xbox umbrella, and that ownership is exactly why the character rarely moves. Big platform holders tend to guard heritage IP tightly, wary of handing a treasured name to an outside team that might get it wrong. The result is a familiar standoff: interested developers exist, the brand recognition is enormous, and yet the rights holder keeps saying no.

There’s an opportunity cost to that caution. Every year Banjo stays dormant is a year its nostalgia value goes unused, at a time when Microsoft is rethinking what Xbox even is. A studio weighing a leaner, more independent Xbox has every reason to squeeze more out of the catalogue it already owns rather than betting solely on new bets.

The Case for Banjo’s Return

The market has rarely looked friendlier for a revival. Retro-flavoured 3D platformers keep finding audiences, remasters routinely outperform expectations on cost-to-return, and fan-led preservation work — like the recent native PC port of Donkey Kong 64 — shows there’s real, organized demand for Rare’s back catalogue. A modest, faithful Banjo revival wouldn’t need blockbuster budgets to make sense; it would need a rights holder willing to take the swing.

For now, Kirkhope’s story is a reminder that the barrier isn’t interest or talent. It’s a corporate “no.” And the fact that he’s more hopeful than he’s been in years hints that the answer might not stay “no” forever.

Microsoft just used its quarterly ID@Xbox showcase to drop a substantial wave of indie titles directly into Game Pass, and the lineup is one of the strongest in the program’s history. From small-team passion projects to genre-defining experiments, the April 2026 reveal cements Game Pass as the most aggressive curator of indie talent in the industry. For subscribers, the next few months just got significantly more interesting.

Inside the April 2026 ID@Xbox Showcase

The April 2026 ID@Xbox showcase confirmed that a fresh slate of independent titles is heading to Game Pass — many launching directly into the service on day one. The announced titles span genres from cozy management sims to challenging roguelikes to narrative-heavy adventures. Microsoft used the showcase format to spotlight smaller studios that would not typically command space in a traditional Xbox press conference, framing each release with developer interviews and gameplay demos. The result is a content drop that emphasizes breadth over blockbusters, signaling that Microsoft sees indie depth as a key Game Pass differentiator. Several titles are already drawing comparisons to recent breakout hits, suggesting the curation team is leaning into the trends that have driven the indie market over the past 18 months.

How Day-One Game Pass Deals Reshape Indie Economics

Game Pass’s continued investment in indie partnerships is reshaping the economics of small-studio game development. For independent developers, a day-one Game Pass deal effectively guarantees a baseline audience that traditional release strategies cannot match — and Microsoft has been willing to write meaningful checks for the privilege. The showcase format also gives indie titles marketing oxygen they would otherwise have to pay dearly for. Critics of the model worry about Game Pass training audiences to expect new releases at no marginal cost, potentially compressing the upside for premium-priced indie titles. Supporters counter that the discoverability lift more than compensates, and that several studios have parlayed Game Pass exposure into successful follow-up sales of paid DLC and sequels. For Bizznerd’s business-minded readers, the Game Pass model is a textbook example of platform economics: aggregate demand, subsidize supply, and use the resulting catalog as the moat.

Microsoft’s Bet: When in Doubt, Out-Curate

The ID@Xbox program is now in its second decade, and its influence on the broader indie ecosystem keeps growing. Microsoft’s willingness to fund and promote experimental titles has created a structural advantage in the subscription wars — one that competitors like PlayStation Plus have struggled to match at scale. The April 2026 showcase reinforces a strategic posture Microsoft has held for years: when in doubt, out-curate. Rather than competing on AAA exclusivity (a battle that gets more expensive every year), Game Pass has bet that depth and breadth, surfaced through smart programming and editorial framing, will keep subscribers locked in. Early subscriber retention data appears to support that thesis. The ID@Xbox showcase is the most visible expression of that strategy, and it is only getting louder with each quarterly drop.

The Bottom Line

For gamers, the April 2026 ID@Xbox lineup is essentially free homework over the next quarter — a pile of curated indie experiments that would otherwise demand careful wishlist management and individual purchases. For Microsoft, it is another data point that its curation-first Game Pass strategy is working, and there is little reason to expect the next showcase to be anything but louder.

Xbox's CEO says she's seen The Elder Scrolls 6, reviving the guessing game over its subtitle. Here's what the tease really signals for Bethesda's next RPG.

The most valuable tease in gaming right now isn’t a trailer — it’s a single sentence. Xbox’s CEO recently let slip that she has seen The Elder Scrolls 6, and that offhand remark was enough to send Bethesda’s enormous fanbase back into full detective mode. No release date, no gameplay, no logo. Just confirmation that the game exists in a playable-enough state for an executive to have watched it — and a fresh round of guessing over what it will actually be called.

What the Xbox Tease Actually Confirms

Strip away the excitement and the news is narrow but real: someone at the top of Xbox has seen The Elder Scrolls 6 in some form. That matters because Bethesda has kept the project almost comically quiet since its brief 2018 teaser. For a game that has spent years as little more than a title card and a promise, “an executive has watched it run” is a meaningful signal that development has moved past the concept stage.

It also fits Microsoft’s wider playbook. After folding Bethesda into its stable, the company has leaned on Elder Scrolls and Fallout as crown-jewel franchises — the same strategic logic we unpacked when Microsoft and Bethesda set out their next-gen ambitions.

The Subtitle Guessing Game, Explained

The part fans latched onto is the subtitle. Every mainline Elder Scrolls game carries a one-word name — Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim — usually tied to a province of Tamriel. The current parlor game centers on a hint that the next title might run to eight letters, which sends the community straight to the map. Hammerfell and High Rock are the long-standing favorites, and a location-based name would follow decades of series tradition.

Is any of this confirmed? No. It’s equal parts pattern-matching and wishful thinking, and it’s entirely possible the “hint” was a bit of misdirection. But the guessing is harmless fun, and it keeps the game in the conversation without Bethesda spending a cent on marketing — which is precisely why studios float these breadcrumbs.

Why the Silence Is a Business Decision, Not an Accident

It’s tempting to read Bethesda’s near-total quiet as a problem. It isn’t. Studios that over-promise early pay for it later, a lesson the company clearly absorbed — its own veterans have been openly reflective about past scope problems, from Starfield being “too big” to the long shadow of Fallout: New Vegas. Announcing The Elder Scrolls 6 too early would only invite years of “where is it” fatigue.

For anyone building anticipation around a product, the approach is worth studying. Bethesda is rationing information on purpose, letting demand compound while it keeps expectations from running wild. A tease costs nothing, generates a week of headlines, and buys the team more runway to actually finish the thing.

Microsoft and Bethesda Are Paving Next-Gen Gaming

The Bottom Line

So here’s where things stand: The Elder Scrolls 6 is real, someone important has seen it, and its name is still anyone’s guess. That’s not much, and it’s also everything a starving fanbase needed. Temper the excitement — a game an executive has merely watched is still a long way from your hard drive — but take the signal for what it is. After years of near-silence, the wait is finally, quietly, moving in the right direction.

Halo: Campaign Evolved rebuilds the game that launched Xbox with modern visuals and full co-op. It nails the nostalgia, but does it recapture the original's spark?

The post Halo: Campaign Evolved Review — A Faithful Return to the Ring appeared first on Bizznerd.

Halo Studios has done something that felt almost unthinkable a few years ago: it rebuilt the campaign that launched a console empire, and it did so with obvious reverence. Halo: Campaign Evolved is a ground-up remake of the mission that started it all, and for anyone who remembers scuttling their ship onto that mysterious ringworld for the first time, it lands as both a technical showcase and an emotional reunion. This is the rare remake that understands its job is preservation, not reinvention.

When Master Chief first sets foot on Halo, he is fighting for his life — harried, ambushed, and forced onto an alien structure built by a culture that came before. That opening still carries weight, and Campaign Evolved treats it like the masterpiece it is. The result is a package that will matter to entrepreneurs watching Microsoft’s gaming strategy just as much as it matters to lapsed fans hungry for a reason to reinstall.

Standing on the Shoulders of a Masterpiece

The smartest decision here is restraint. Level geometry, encounter pacing, and the famous 30-second loop of shoot, melee, and grenade are preserved almost beat for beat. Halo Studios resisted the urge to modernize the design into something unrecognizable, and the campaign is stronger for it. The Silent Cartographer still opens with that beach landing. The Library is still a grind — and the team leaned into the joke rather than papering over it.

What changes is presentation. Lighting, texture work, and animation have all been rebuilt, and the sandbox reads far more clearly in a firefight. Weapons feel weightier, the Covenant look genuinely threatening again, and the score swells at exactly the right moments. It is a remake that respects muscle memory while giving your eyes something new to admire.

What Modern Tech Adds — and What It Can’t

The headline addition is full campaign co-op across every mission, and it transforms the experience. Halo has always been at its best when a friend is riding shotgun in a Warthog, and Campaign Evolved makes drop-in play seamless. Playing solo is still tense and satisfying, but the co-op runs are where the remake finds its personality — the same joyous, chaotic gunplay that keeps shooters like Destiny 2 feeling great years after launch.

What modern tech can’t manufacture is novelty. Anyone who has finished this campaign a dozen times will find few genuine surprises, and a couple of the original’s slower stretches are as sluggish as ever. Campaign Evolved is a beautiful reproduction, not a director’s cut — and if you were hoping for reworked mission structure or new story beats, that ambition simply isn’t the point of this project.

Why This Launch Matters Beyond Nostalgia

The business story is as interesting as the game itself. By shipping Campaign Evolved on PlayStation 5 alongside Xbox and PC, Microsoft is signalling that Halo is now a franchise it wants everywhere, not a walled-garden exclusive — a shift we covered when Campaign Evolved broke Xbox’s platform wall. For a studio rebuilding trust after a rocky decade, leading with the franchise’s most beloved chapter is a shrewd play.

It also resets expectations for Halo Studios. Deliver a flawless remake and you buy goodwill for whatever original project comes next. Campaign Evolved is that goodwill down payment, and it mostly pays off.

The Verdict

Halo: Campaign Evolved is a loving, technically accomplished restoration of one of gaming’s defining campaigns. It won’t convert anyone who never clicked with Master Chief, and it plays it safe by design. But as a way to relive a genuine classic — or hand it to a new player in its best-looking form — it is hard to fault. The ring still holds up, and so does the remake standing on top of it.

Halo: Campaign Evolved remakes the 2001 classic and arrives on PS5, the first mainline Halo outside Xbox — and a clear signal of Microsoft's platform pivot.

The post Halo: Campaign Evolved Lands on PS5, Breaking Xbox’s Wall appeared first on Bizznerd.

For 25 years, Halo meant Xbox. That equation just broke. Halo: Campaign Evolved, a ground-up remake of the 2001 original built in Unreal Engine 5, launches this month on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5 — the first time a mainline Halo game has ever shipped on a PlayStation console. That single fact matters more than any graphics upgrade or gameplay tweak buried in the patch notes.

Master Chief crash-lands on the ring not knowing what he’s walking into, only to discover he’s trespassing on the work of a vanished civilization far more advanced than his own. It’s hard not to read that as an accidental metaphor for Halo Studios itself. The team, formerly known as 343 Industries, spent over a decade trying to fill the shoes of Bungie. With this remake, they’re not just revisiting old ground — they’re rebuilding it on someone else’s engine, for audiences Bungie’s original never reached.

A Ringworld Rebuilt From The Ground Up

Campaign Evolved isn’t a remaster with sharper textures slapped on top. It’s a full reconstruction of the original campaign, rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5 with new lighting, updated animations, and modernized combat feel while preserving the core level design that made the 2001 campaign a benchmark for console shooters. That’s a delicate balancing act. Change too much and longtime fans revolt. Change too little and new players wonder what the fuss was about.

Early access opened for Premium Edition buyers ahead of the wider late-July release, giving Halo Studios a soft launch window to gather player feedback and patch issues before the bigger PlayStation and PC audience arrives. That staggered rollout is smart risk management — a franchise this iconic can’t afford a broken first impression on a platform where it has zero brand history to fall back on.

Xbox Stops Guarding Its Own Front Door

Putting Halo on PlayStation isn’t a one-off experiment. It’s the clearest signal yet that Microsoft has stopped treating exclusivity as its main competitive weapon. Xbox hardware sales have lagged behind Sony and Nintendo for years, and Microsoft’s answer has been to chase subscribers and software revenue wherever players already are, rather than forcing them onto Xbox boxes to access the games they want. It’s the same logic behind how Microsoft and Bethesda have been reshaping their next-gen strategy.

For Sony, this is a genuine gift and a genuine threat. A gift because Halo on PS5 sells consoles, controllers, and PS Plus subscriptions without Sony spending a cent on development. A threat because it proves platform loyalty is eroding fast, and today’s guest franchise could be tomorrow’s permanent resident. For any founder watching from outside gaming, the lesson translates directly: when a rival stops hoarding its most valuable asset and starts distributing it everywhere, that’s usually a sign they’ve concluded reach beats exclusivity for the bottom line.

What This Means For Exclusives As A Business Model

Console exclusives were always a customer-acquisition tool disguised as a creative choice. Companies used blockbuster franchises to sell hardware, then recouped the investment through captive software and services sales. That model works when hardware margins and lock-in are strong. It works less well when subscription revenue, cross-platform play, and cloud streaming already blur the lines between ecosystems.

Halo going multiplatform fits a pattern already visible across the industry — first-party studios releasing PC ports years earlier than they used to, subscription services expanding across devices, and publishers treating “where can players buy this” as a revenue question rather than a loyalty test. Expect competitors to keep watching Halo’s PS5 sales numbers closely; if a flagship franchise thrives outside its home ecosystem, it becomes much harder for any platform holder to justify keeping its next big title locked down.

Halo: Campaign Evolved is a test case dressed up as a remake. The gameplay decisions will matter to longtime fans, but the platform decision matters more to everyone else — developers, investors, and rival console makers included. If a franchise this synonymous with one brand can thrive everywhere, the old rules about exclusivity as a growth strategy are already being rewritten, one ringworld at a time.

Xbox’s leadership carousel just spun again. Jared Palmer, brought in only two months ago as Xbox’s new VP of engineering, has already resigned — leaving to take a role at AI company Cognition. Palmer was hired to work directly with Xbox CEO Asha Sharma on the division’s “most complex” problems, so watching him walk out the door this quickly is the kind of red flag that should make any business owner pay attention.

One short tenure isn’t a crisis on its own. But stacked against everything else happening at Xbox right now, it reads less like a blip and more like a pattern.

A Two-Month Tenure Raises Immediate Questions

Senior engineering leaders are recruited to bring stability, not to pad a résumé for eight weeks. When someone hired to tackle a company’s hardest problems leaves almost immediately, it invites obvious questions: Was the mandate unclear? Were the problems tougher than advertised? Or did a better offer simply come along at the wrong moment for Xbox?

Whatever the reason, the optics aren’t great. Palmer was positioned as a direct partner to the CEO on critical work, and that kind of role is meant to signal momentum. An abrupt exit does the opposite, feeding an ongoing narrative of turbulence that has followed Microsoft’s gaming division through a rocky stretch.

The AI Talent War Is Pulling From Gaming

The destination is the real story. Palmer isn’t leaving for a rival console maker — he’s headed to Cognition, an AI company. That detail matters, because it shows how aggressively the AI sector is siphoning senior technical talent away from every other industry, gaming included.

For entrepreneurs and tech leaders, this is a familiar squeeze. AI startups can offer equity upside, cutting-edge problems, and momentum that established divisions struggle to match. Xbox is competing for engineering talent against companies that can promise a shot at defining the next platform shift — and losing a marquee hire to exactly that pitch underlines how hard the fight has become, even as Microsoft doubles down on its own AI ambitions in gaming.

What It Means for Xbox’s Turnaround

Xbox is in the middle of a high-stakes reset, from strategic restructuring to fresh questions about its hardware roadmap. Turnarounds like this depend on continuity in key roles, and every sudden departure at the top makes that continuity harder to maintain. Institutional knowledge walks out with each exit, and remaining teams absorb the disruption.

The bigger risk is perception. Talent watches talent, and a revolving door at the leadership level can make recruiting the next hire even tougher. If Xbox wants its comeback story to stick, stabilising its leadership bench — and giving new executives room to actually execute — has to be part of the plan, especially with next-gen bets like the reported Xbox “Helix” chip riding on strong engineering leadership.

A single resignation rarely defines a company, but timing and context are everything. With Xbox mid-reset and the AI talent war intensifying, Jared Palmer’s quick departure is a signal worth watching — a reminder that winning the next console generation starts with keeping the people you hire to build it.

Microsoft's custom Xbox 'Helix' chip will reportedly power next-gen Asus and MSI consoles. Here's what the closed-platform hardware push means for gamers.

The post Xbox ‘Helix’ Chip Will Power New Asus and MSI Consoles appeared first on Bizznerd.

Microsoft is reportedly preparing a custom silicon platform — internally codenamed Helix — that will sit at the heart of next-generation Xbox hardware and, more surprisingly, a new wave of third-party consoles from Asus and MSI. The catch for enthusiasts hoping to build their own Helix-powered box: the chip is locked to console partners and will not be sold on the open market.

Helix and the Console Playbook

Recent reports point to Microsoft deepening its silicon strategy through a custom APU designed in partnership with AMD, built around a modernized Zen core, an upgraded RDNA graphics slice, and integrated AI acceleration hardware tuned for Xbox services. What makes Helix notable is not only the spec sheet — it is the licensing model. Instead of keeping the chip exclusively inside Microsoft’s own hardware, Helix is reportedly being offered to select third-party console partners including Asus and MSI.

The practical effect is a family of consoles that all share a common hardware baseline while differing in design, cooling, form factor, and price. Microsoft gets platform consistency for developers. Asus and MSI get access to a proven high-margin console chip without the cost of designing one from scratch. Consumers get more options — but not the option to put the chip inside their own PC build.

Microsoft’s Platform Play Goes Beyond the Console

This is the clearest sign yet that Microsoft is treating Xbox less as a single hardware line and more as a platform specification. By licensing Helix silicon to Asus and MSI, Microsoft effectively turns Xbox into an ecosystem closer to Android — multiple manufacturers, shared core hardware, shared software stack. The move tightens Microsoft’s grip on gaming distribution while delegating the capital expense of building and shipping hardware to partners with existing PC supply chains.

The implications for Sony and Nintendo are significant. A single-vendor competitor has always been an easier target; a federation of hardware partners all running the same OS, store, and cross-device ecosystem is a stickier problem. For AMD, Helix cements its status as the default architect of premium gaming silicon. And for enthusiast PC builders, the news is a reminder that the most advanced gaming chips are increasingly reserved for closed platforms where the margins are predictable.

For more on the shifting console-hardware landscape, see our coverage of Valve dropping its Steam Machine 4K/60fps claim and Nvidia’s first in-house CPU.

Closed Silicon, Open Consequences

The Helix licensing decision sits inside a wider trend: premium compute is becoming more closed, not less. Apple’s silicon stays inside Apple devices. Nvidia’s cutting-edge gaming cards are rationed through an opaque supply chain. Now Microsoft is signaling that its most advanced console silicon will never be available through conventional retail. For entrepreneurs and enthusiasts raised on the modular PC promise, this is a meaningful shift in how hardware power is distributed.

The upside is performance parity: developers get predictable hardware targets, and consumers get polished experiences across a wider array of form factors. The downside is less hobbyist innovation and less competitive pricing pressure on the components that sit inside those consoles. As the lines between console and PC blur, the bigger question is whether closed platforms will absorb the best silicon entirely — and what that leaves for the DIY community that built modern PC gaming in the first place.

The Bottom Line

Microsoft’s Helix chip is shaping up to be more than an Xbox upgrade; it is the technical foundation of a multi-vendor gaming platform that may quietly redraw the console market. PC builders hoping to get their hands on the silicon directly are out of luck — but for everyone else, the next Xbox generation is about to get a lot more interesting.

Microsoft just made a move that looks contradictory on the surface — and that’s exactly why it’s worth paying attention to. The company brought in a wave of AI executives to run its Xbox division while simultaneously killing the one AI feature that was already built into the console. If you’re trying to make sense of where AI actually fits in the gaming business, this is your case study.

Xbox is under real financial pressure. Hardware revenue is down sharply year-over-year, overall gaming revenue has declined multiple quarters in a row, and the Activision Blizzard acquisition still hasn’t delivered the turnaround Microsoft was counting on. The restructuring now underway isn’t just a personnel refresh — it’s a bet on a different kind of AI strategy than the one Xbox had been pursuing.

A New CEO Rebuilds the Room With People She Trusts

Asha Sharma stepped into the Xbox CEO role in February 2026, succeeding Phil Spencer after his 38-year run at Microsoft. Sharma came directly from Microsoft’s CoreAI division, where she served as president of product — the group responsible for Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI Service, and the developer tooling that powers AI-enabled applications across Microsoft’s enterprise ecosystem.

She wasted little time reshaping the leadership table. At least four colleagues from the CoreAI organization followed her into Xbox in senior roles. Jared Palmer, formerly a vice president of product at CoreAI and a senior VP at GitHub, joined to work across product, engineering, developer tools, and infrastructure. Tim Allen, who led design at both CoreAI and GitHub, took over as Xbox’s design lead. Jonathan McKay — who previously ran growth for ChatGPT at OpenAI before joining CoreAI — became Xbox’s head of growth. Evan Chaki, a CoreAI general manager, was put in charge of a team of forward-deployed engineers. David Schloss, a growth executive from Instacart where Sharma herself had worked, took the reins on Xbox’s subscription and cloud business.

This isn’t a random mix of résumés. It’s a deliberate pattern: executives who build AI-powered developer platforms, design systems at scale, and drive subscription growth through product-led growth models. Sharma is building a leadership team shaped by how AI actually ships in enterprise products, not how it gets demoed at gaming conferences.

Copilot on Xbox Is Gone — and the Reason Tells You Everything

At the same time Sharma was announcing this new leadership lineup, Xbox confirmed it is winding down Copilot on the console entirely. The Copilot assistant — which debuted on Xbox in late 2024 as a voice-activated AI that could help players navigate menus, surface game recommendations, and manage party chats — is done. Development has reportedly stopped, with servers expected to wind down by the end of 2026.

The official framing was that the feature didn’t solve a clear enough problem to justify the ongoing resource cost. That’s a polite way of saying it didn’t work well enough for gamers to want it. Internal data reportedly showed that most Xbox Series X|S owners had disabled the feature entirely, mostly because they saw no meaningful benefit and didn’t want the system overhead.

There’s a harder business lesson embedded in that data point. Copilot on Xbox was an example of AI applied as a feature — layered on top of an existing experience because the technology existed, not because the user asked for it. Gamers are not enterprise customers hunting for workflow automation. They want a responsive, immersive experience with zero friction. A voice assistant that competes for RAM and produces middling results is friction, not a feature.

Sharma’s public comments have reinforced this framing. She has been explicit that Xbox will not ship AI for its own sake, describing what she wants to avoid as “soulless AI slop” — a direct signal that her definition of useful AI is narrower and more demanding than what Xbox had been building.

What This Restructuring Actually Signals for the Gaming Industry

The apparent contradiction — hire AI executives, kill the AI feature — only looks like a contradiction if you think AI in gaming means a chatbot on your controller. Sharma’s moves suggest a different thesis: AI’s real role in gaming is in the infrastructure, the personalization engine, the subscription retention logic, and the developer tooling — not the user-facing assistant layer.

Her leadership hires align precisely with that thesis. Growth executives who ran AI-powered product loops at OpenAI and Meta, subscription strategists who understand cloud service economics, forward-deployed engineers who sit close to real technical problems — these are the people who build the kind of AI that works invisibly. The kind that recommends the right game at the right price point, reduces churn in Game Pass, and helps developers build faster on Xbox platforms.

For entrepreneurs and operators watching this from the outside, the lesson generalizes cleanly. AI does not automatically improve a product simply by being present in it. Consumer-facing AI features face a brutal test: they have to be noticeably better than the experience without them, immediately, with no learning curve. If they’re not, users turn them off or churn. Infrastructure-level AI, by contrast, can deliver compounding value without asking the user to change their behavior at all.

Microsoft is a long way from declaring victory in the gaming space. Revenue is still declining, layoffs are expected, and the competitive landscape with Sony and Nintendo has not shifted. But the leadership model Sharma is installing — AI expertise applied to subscription economics, developer ecosystems, and growth infrastructure — is a more coherent business bet than shipping a console chatbot and hoping players find it useful. Whether it moves the numbers is the next question. The strategic logic, at least, is sound.

Prepare to enter the fight once again as the legendary Mortal Kombat series returns with its latest video game. Mortal Kombat 1, while not the initial entry in the franchise, represents a thrilling continuation, or rather a revamp, of the saga that gamers have loved for decades. The Mortal Kombat universe evolves with each new game, bringing new characters, mechanics, and storylines. This particular installment is available on PS5, Xbox X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

The best part about Mortal Combat 1

Without a doubt, the strongest aspect of MK1 is the storyline. With this installment, it undergoes a dramatic reset, with Liu Kang assuming the mantle of Earthrealm’s guardian and guiding its champions into a seemingly less perilous Mortal Kombat tournament. However, the tranquility is short-lived as mysterious and malevolent forces disrupt the peace, plunging the realm into chaos once more. Liu Kang’s carefully cultivated utopia is threatened as these usurpers seek to transform it into a battleground soaked in blood and gore.

Returning to the roots of the franchise, Mortal Kombat 1 embraces the classic “kung-fu flick” aesthetics, shedding the modern military themes of its predecessors. Instead, the narrative weaves a thrilling tale of ninjas, sorcery, and treachery, punctuated by deadly alliances and unexpected twists. The story campaign unfolds with stellar cinematography, delivering authentic moments of drama and comedy. Also, it included a long-awaited return of characters such as Sindel, Reptile, Mileena, and Raiden.

Visuals and animation

Mortal Kombat 1 boasts stunning visuals that capture the essence of its dark and fantastical world. The game’s graphics are undeniably impressive, showcasing detailed character designs and richly rendered environments. Each fighter is meticulously crafted with distinct features, from the imposing stature of Goro to the agile movements of Liu Kang. Vibrant colors and dynamic lighting effects further enhance the visual spectacle, immersing players in the intense combat experience.

On the other hand, Mortal Kombat 1, as a recent release, features animations that we can definitely call lacking, to say the least, compared to its competition. The character movements appear stiff and unnatural, with animations that sometimes feel rigid and dated. Jumping animations, in particular, seem clunky and lacking in fluidity.

NetherRealm Studios’ strongest point

Mortal Kombat 1’s stage design stands as a testament to the game’s captivating atmosphere and immersive world-building. NetherRealm Studios meticulously crafted each arena to reflect the diverse settings of the Mortal Kombat universe, from ancient temples shrouded in mystery to eerie wastelands teeming with danger. The attention to detail is evident in every corner, with background elements that breathe life into the environment and enhance the sense of immersion. Whether it’s the haunting silhouette of Shang Tsung’s throne room or the perilous cliffs of the Pit, every stage serves as a dynamic backdrop to the intense battles that unfold within. The stage design not only adds visual depth but also contributes to the storytelling, offering glimpses into the lore and mythology of the Mortal Kombat world.

Soundtrack of Mortal Kombat 1

The soundtrack of Mortal Kombat 1 serves as a powerful nostalgia-inducing element, transporting players back to the golden era of arcade gaming. Composed by Dan Forden, the iconic tunes are instantly recognizable, evoking memories of intense battles and adrenaline-fueled victories.

And of course, the gameplay and fighting

Mortal Kombat 1 delivers a familiar fighting experience that reminds us of the 90’s with its’ trademark 5-button fighter mechanic. However, some frustrations arise, such as the lack of player position resets, which can disrupt the flow of combat. Despite these setbacks, the introduction of the Kameo mechanic brings a notable evolution to the gameplay, reminiscent of the classic Kings of Fighters Striker system. While Kameo combatants add variety, they often feel like empty avatars, lacking the depth and personality of the main roster. Nevertheless, as this mechanic evolves over time, it holds promise for making a significant impact on the competitive scene.

The introduction of the new invasion mode and the implementation of the battle-pass style system known as “Mastery” represent attempts to provide players with additional content and rewards. The invasion mode promises dynamic challenges and seasonal updates. It offers players opportunities to engage in fresh experiences and earn rewards for their favorite fighters. However, some players find this mode lacking compared to the beloved MK Deception. It has a feeling that it fails to fully capture the excitement and depth of previous iterations. Despite its potential, the invasion mode may need further refinement to fully satisfy the expectations of fans.

Final thoughts

Overall, Mortal Kombat 1 was neither a hit or a miss. It does have excellent parts like the storyline, the soundtrack, the visuals and stage design. However, in parts where it doesn’t excel, it really messes up. The training, tutorial and online parts feel not finished. Same thing with the Invasion mode and Kameo mechanic. Although, I cannot beat them up about it since it is freshly added and will need some time to perfect. All in all, those who have loved previous installments will probably enjoy this one. Despite the fact that some parts are looking increasingly dated. In my opinion, it is not worth the full-priced fighter tag that it has.

In 2020 Microsoft announced their acquisition of Bethesda Softworks. This news broke the gaming world, as it meant that Microsoft would own some of the most popular game franchises in the world. With the deal now finished, Microsoft and Bethesda are paving the way by amassing their combined resources to promise and create the next level of gaming experiences.

A Strong Partnership between Microsoft and Bethesda

Bethesda is already one of the best gaming companies with franchises such as Fallout, Elder Scrolls, and Doom. Now they are a part of Microsoft, one of the wealthiest companies in the world. Bethesda has access to a pool of new resources to produce games. Microsoft already has Xbox, which is one of the two console monopolies along with PlayStation. Even without Bethesda, they boast impressive franchises such as Forza, Halo, Minecraft, and Sea of Thieves.

One of the most significant aspects of the partnership is the sheer amount of resources and experience Microsoft and Bethesda have together. Microsoft’s financial support allows Bethesda to aim even higher with their games. Furthermore, Bethesda’s vast experience developing massively popular RPGs means that Microsoft will know more secrets to improve their games.

A Bright Future for Gamers

The Microsoft-Bethesda coalition has already produced exciting new announcements. One is- some of Bethesda’s most popular franchises will be coming to Xbox Game Pass. This is big news because players can now play games such as Doom, Fallout, and Elder Scrolls without buying them individually. This factor will drive many players to subscribe to the Xbox Game pass.

One disadvantage of the partnership is the potential for cross-platform play. Microsoft’s ownership of the company means they now have more control over the process of deciding cross-platform play. Microsoft usually only releases games for its own consoles, meaning PlayStation players are left out. Bethesda’s games will likely be Microsoft exclusives as well following the deal.

Upcoming games from Microsoft and Bethesda

Starfield- A brand new game announcement from Bethesda, it is an ambitious space RPG. Bethesda promises to make it one of the most immersive and vast gaming adventures gaming has ever seen. Teasers of the game suggest that it will be a story-heavy adventure that takes players to deep space.

Elder Scrolls VI- One of the most highly anticipated games in recent memory, Elder Scrolls VI is the latest announcement for Bethesda’s beloved Elder Scrolls franchise. While details are scarce, fans are already speculating whether Microsoft will intervene with the production or not. Previous Elder Scrolls games ease players’ concerns because it’s such a strong franchise that Microsoft couldn’t mess up.

Conclusion

To conclude, the Microsoft-Bethesda partnership is already developing to be one of the most exciting events in gaming history. With their combined portfolios and expertise (which are impressive alone), the two companies combined can easily take over the Gaming industry together. We are excited to see the new levels they bring to gaming and will discuss their game releases in detail as they announce them.

The eagerly awaited Harry Potter game, Hogwarts Legacy, created by Avalanche Software, will debut on February 10. It will be accessible on PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S. It is set in the immensely popular wizarding world of the Harry Potter books.

Hogwarts Legacy is said to have received several favorable reviews before its release. Additionally, because of the rise in pre-orders, it has made onto the best-selling lists on online retailer websites like Amazon and Epic Store.

Hogwarts Legacy and transphobia

The author of the Harry Potter series, J.K. Rowling, has faced widespread criticism for comments she made about transgender folks. It should be emphasized that despite not having contributed to the game’s development, the author will receive royalties from its sales.

I will not begrudge anyone their love of past works or thing they already own that they take comfort in. I own the first 9 movies and all 7 books myself. But any support of something like Hogwarts Legacy is harmful. – Jessie Earl on Twitter

Despite the embargo being lifted, a few well-known gaming review websites like Kotaku, Eurogamer, and Polygon have not yet posted a review of Hogwarts Legacy. Others are still criticizing JK Rowling for her remarks about the trans community.

The Hogwarts Legacy commercials on Twitch, which is owned by Amazon, have also drawn criticism from some streamers. Nikatine has also demanded a boycott of Twitch for hosting advertisements for the game.

Problems in the gameplay of Hogwarts legacy

There are many different kinds of magic in the Harry Potter universe. Fans are worried that it might not be as inventive as they thought when trailers appeared to confine combat to magically raising enemies and then shooting the same beam of light at them repeatedly. Video of higher-level gameplay with new crowd-control spells and the entertaining transfiguration ability have already addressed some of these worries. However, the combat is still dividing fans.

Conclusion

Hogwarts Legacy had such high expectations that it was never going to be able to satisfy everyone. Avalanche Software presumably anticipated some resistance to whatever kind of Harry Potter game it chose to create. It’s vital to keep in mind that there is more to the game than just combat for those who are concerned about it. The opportunity to tour the exquisitely detailed castle and its surroundings is a huge deal to a lot of people. Players who are worried about what they have seen so far are putting off purchasing the game until reviews are published. Also, it’s very important to keep in mind that purchasing the game will further promote the transphobic agenda of J.K. Rowling

Black Myth: Wukong has managed to attract a lot of gamers with its stunning trailers since its launch, but they will have to wait for a long time.

Chinese studio Game Science has released a short animation called “Rabbit Rabbit Rabbit” that specifies a “summer 2024” release date for Black Myth: Wukong.

You can see the published animation below:

Last year, YouTuber Ranton, who previously designed the characters and combat of Black Myth: Wukong, parted ways with Game Science Studio due to disagreements over the game’s development decisions. He has recently claimed that the development of this game is progressing slowly. Perhaps one of the reasons for the long construction process is the change of engine graphics to Unreal Engine 5.

In August 2021, another developer working on the stage design for Black Myth: Wukong claimed that only one stage of the game had been developed at the time. According to him, the game did not have any cutscenes or boss fights until then.

Black Myth: Wukong

Black Myth requires at least 15 hours to complete, and its creators have decided to design more than 100 enemies and monsters to keep the audience engaged. Of course, according to the number of current members of the studio, they have to divide the work between different teams, and for example, only one of these teams is responsible for designing the stages.

A total of 30 people are currently part of the Game Science Studio, with more than 10,000 applicants soon to join.

Conclusion

Consoles and PCs will be able to play Black Myth: Wukong. Game Science has not yet announced the release date of this action-adventure game, and we have to wait for more time to find out.

In general, as the creators of the Black Myth: Wukong game have also mentioned, as much as the presentation of this fascinating work has helped to raise its name, on the other hand, it has made it difficult for this small team, and we have to wait and see what the game will do in the future. Is Game Science Studio capable of producing such great work or not?

Metal: Hellsinger is developed by a team of heavy metal lovers at The Outsiders studio and published by Funcom. Before its release, this game also received the most anticipated Steam game award at Gamescom 2022.

Fear of demons

In Metal: Hellsinger you take on the role of a character called The Unknown who has had his voice stolen and has been imprisoned in Hell for years. Until the narrator, Paz, one of your weapons, opens a door in this prison for the Unknown to return and avenge his suffering and most importantly get his voice back from the King of Hell, The Judge.

Paz tells the story most of the time through semi-animated cutscenes. Of course, you should not expect a complete and meaningful story from such games, because the main focus of these types of games is on their gameplay, but Metal: Hellsinger was able to present a purposeful story in the middle of its exciting gameplay.

Heavy metal rhythm

Metal: Hellsinger has done well with music from very popular heavy metal singers and bands, such as Alissa White, Mikael Stanne, and Matt Heafy. Each stage has its own special music and environment design to separate each stage from the others.

To use the rhythmic system in its gameplay, the game Metal: Hellsinger has placed marks on the sides of the crosshair that move in sync with the BPM of the music on that stage, and by firing at the right time, the Fury ratio on the top of the screen will also increase. Increasing this ratio, in addition to increasing your damage power, also makes the background music more perfect over time; Until the x16 factor, the vocals are also added to the music.

Increasing the ratio and staying at x16 is not that difficult; therefore, the game experience will be very enjoyable. But if you don’t shoot for a while, for example, because you have to go to another area and there are no enemies in the environment, your multiplier will be reduced. By lowering the Fury from x16 to x8, the audio stops and the music returns to its original state.

Weapons

You have 6 weapons, 2 of which are always with you and you can choose your other 2 main weapons. You will find 4 of the weapons during the first 4 stages. It’s fun to use them all, and each weapon has a special ability that you can use if you kill enough demons with it.

6 weapons, only 4 of which are main weapons, may seem less compared to other games of this genre, but the total number of stages in this game is very small; This will prevent you from using these weapons again. But on the other hand, these stages are all enjoyable and have wonderful music for shooting with their rhythm.

At the end of each stage, you can play the same stage again with new challenges called Torments. Due to the well-designed stages, these double challenges increase the game’s replay value.

You will face a boss fight in each stage. Unfortunately, all these boss fights are in the same form and with the same music. It only changes the fighting environment and some features of the boss of that stage.

Conclusion

The title Metal: Hellsinger is a relatively short but very enjoyable game for fans of rhythmic shooter games and, above all, fans of heavy metal music. The very good design of the stages, their extraordinary original music, and the special challenges of each stage multiply the value of the experience of each stage.

The Outsiders studio has managed to provide a great experience in this game and also create a solid foundation for the development of future games.

Positive points

Smooth gameplay

Great music

Attractive environment design

Negative points

Few stages and repetitive boss fights

Unsuitable mixing of music when changing from x16 to x8

Avowed is a new fantasy RPG from the popular studio Obsidian. Xbox and PC will be the only platforms to receive the game. After its release, we will immediately see its presence in Game Pass. The game is set in the world of “Pillars of Eternity” created by the same studio in 2015, and the story takes place in the fantasy land of Eora and the country of Dyrwood.

In 2018, Xbox Game Studio acquired Obsidian, so it’s no surprise that the game will only be released on Xbox Series X and PC plus bundled with the Xbox Game Pass.

Avowed

In July 2021, Obsidian announced Avowed as a new IP. It appears to be a first-person RPG similar to Skyrim, with rune-based magic powers and sword combat confirmed by the short trailer.

Obsidian’s 2019 job posting for its next big project was looking for someone with the ability to produce battle scenes using 1st and 3rd person animations, multiple dialogues, and day/night cycles. Such features bring the game in line with Obsidian’s previous RPG titles such as The Outer Worlds and Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords.

Avowed release date

We still haven’t heard anything about a possible release date for Avowed. However, it seems that Obsidian is taking its time with the game, focusing on all of the details so the release date is probably in the long future

Game details

Aowed’s first trailer, shown at Xbox’s E3 2021 event, introduced us to a varied medieval landscape, starting in a war-torn castle owned by an empire of queens and kings “that has always known war”. According to the story, this empire has now fallen into a state of disrepair, losing its oaths and giving rise to an antagonistic force.

The evil monsters of the game (skeletons) are born from the sins of this empire and the main character will face them during the game. The question left at the end of the trailer is, “Is a crown worth breaking an oath of loyalty?” This shows that we will probably face big choices during the game. For example, the player’s destiny may be to become a king, or he may fall while rebuilding the empire and face revolutionary forces.

Avowed setting explained

A Reddit user named Sleuths has found some hints about the game that gives us a better idea of Avowed. According to this post, the flag seen in the Avowed trailer is from Woedica. A god known as “Oathbinder” shaped the world of Eora but was killed by other gods who feared him due to his great power during a collective conspiracy against him.

Woedica is a nation in the world of Eora that we may encounter in the game. The story of Woedica follows the narrative of the trailer, where the protagonist faces the fate of broken oaths, a fallen empire, and a potential kingdom.

It gets even more interesting when we get to the word “Oathbinder” based on the words left on the sword seen in the trailer.

Rumors about the game

A user named Sponger has several bold claims about Avowed that we’re going to share with you. These claims are baseless without verification.

According to Sponger, the game will be fully open-world and much larger than Skyrim. The leaker says the game will take place in The Living Lands of Eora and will feature a dynamic weather system as well as mod support. Of course, so far all these things were predictable considering the history of the studio.

Players can have in-game companions, fight giant bosses, and trade with the gods. You will also be able to kill everyone in the game without any restrictions.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is a 2022 first-person shooter game developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision. It serves as the nineteenth installment in the overall Call of Duty franchise and is a follow-up to the 2019 reboot. It was made available on October 28, 2022, for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Windows, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.

Critics gave Modern Warfare 2 mainly positive reviews. Being the fastest Call of Duty game to earn $1 billion in sales, it was a commercial triumph and set multiple milestones for the series. So, is it really that good?

The premise of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

The game takes place in a realistic, contemporary environment, just like its predecessor. In order to find terrorist Hassan Zyani who is in possession of American-made ballistic missiles, Task Force 141 and Mexican Special Forces unit Los Vaqueros are being followed in the campaign.

Maps

Regarding the 6v6 maps, the sheer number of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 maps we have at rotation is actually quite impressive. The 2019 launch had significantly fewer, which is an essential factor that players insist on. Out of 10 maps that we had at launch, only one stood out as being really terrible and that is the border crossing map. However, the other nine aren’t all sunshine and rainbows, but every game has some that are simply not that bad. Overall, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has a nice variety when it comes to layouts, settings, and color pallets.

Also, another nice thing about the maps, which was present in the 2019 version as well, is that you can jump on almost anything. It makes the game feel fluid and satisfying. Not to mention, it adds to the tactical part of the game since you can use this ability to outsmart your enemies.

Guns inside Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Another great part about this game is the guns. They feel and sound amazing. Some of the movement at times can feel a bit clunky and there’s an abundance of visual recoil. If we weren’t to nitpick, overall – the gunplay is pretty solid.

Another great thing regarding guns is that the balance is amazing for a COD launch. Of course, there is room for improvement but we believe that this is more than acceptable considering the game came out just recently.

Gameplay improvements

If you’re someone that likes to move around and be aggressive, we have some good news for you. The footsteps in this installation are a lot better than they used to be. Now, you can move around freely without worrying about an enemy hearing you from an ungodly distance.

Also, another great thing that they have added is swimming. If you’re underwater, you can only use pistols but full autos will be available to you once you’re on the surface. We are glad they didn’t go overboard with this option.

Missing features

Sadly, this game has a lot of missing features that we won’t see at all or they will come only in the later parts.

For example, the hardcore game modes won’t be with us until the release of the first season. There are no barracks with combat records and challenge lists, after-action reports, double XP countdown, camo pop-ups, weapon tuning, detailed weapon stats, and many more.

Closing thoughts

Even with all of the issues that are currently present, we are sure you will be able to have fun! There are still a lot of things that need fixing. It does feel like the developers pushed its launch too early and the game ended up feeling like it’s not quite finished. However, as everything’s fixed and we get a lot more features, this could be a really good COD game. So, we suggest you hold on to your money for now and jump on the bandwagon once the game is complete.

Way of The Hunter is a different work and the closest experience to a real hunt, proving once again that the world of video games desperately needs such creativity. Stay with bizznerd by reviewing Way of The Hunter.

First of all, you have to answer one question. Do you like to face a title that may leave you in a corner of the battle for hours to wait for your prey or not? This game will make you walk in the forest, hide in the darkness for days, hoping to reach your goal. However, even the slightest noise will ruin all your efforts.

Way of The Hunter game review

The first thing I want to mention is that Way of The Hunter may be a video game that puts you in nature, but it proves otherwise. Way of The Hunter makes it clear from the start that the creators aim for more than just a fun video game experience. In simpler words, this game can be recommended to those who want to experience a real and exciting hunt.

The story of the game begins when your grandfather is unable to manage his business due to old age and illness. In the role of the main character of the game, you decide to take over the management of the grandfather’s farm (hunting) and keep his business alive. This farm is located in the heart of nature and is surrounded by vast lands and wildlife. Now, you have to learn the basic principles of hunting step by step, then go to the heart of the mountains and forests and hunt the animals you want.

The game does not teach you the basic principles of hunting as well as it should, which is a negative point. During the gameplay, the game will point out some things, but in the end, it is you who have to learn how to hunt. This may seem confusing, especially for those who are entering such game for the first time

Game World

The game has a huge world that you can explore freely. The interesting thing is that you don’t have to walk the whole way. Whenever you want, you can ride a personal jeep and hit the heart of the mountains. You can stop at any point along the way. For example, I was driving my jeep when I suddenly saw several deer within a hundred meters of me. I quickly stopped and prepared myself for an exciting deer hunt. But sometimes not all hunting is so easy.

In many game missions, you have to track animals or hunt them in a certain way. Sometimes you even have to wait for hours in the heart of nature for the hunt you want to appear. You may encounter your prey many times, but one small mistake can cause your prey to disappear from your eyes in a fraction of a second. Based on this, it can be said that hunting in the game is a bit difficult and long and requires a lot of patience. In other words, your only shot from the weapon should be your first and last shot to kill the target. But finally, after finishing the hunt, you will be happy.

Hunter Sense

Another game mechanic is the Hunter Sense mechanic. The operation of this mechanism is such that by activating it, you can analyze the sounds of animals. Analyzing the sounds will help you to find out where your target hunt is located. Hunter Sense can also recognize animal tracks. You can track the animals and find their grazing or resting place. In general, Hunter Sense is a wonderful mechanic and innovation in this game, and it helps you identify, track and hunt animals; Especially if you upgrade it.

There are many things to be aware of when hunting. From the type of gun, and the type of caliber to your distance from the hunt and natural factors. This subject requires a little patience and relatively high skill. After you hunt the animal you want, you can sell its remains or taxidermy it. But the more interesting thing is that after hunting, you can see which part of the animal’s body your bullet hit.

For example, while hunting an otter, I shot him twice to kill him. Thanks to the x-ray capability, I realized that my first bullet only hit him in the leg and caused him to run away. But the second bullet hit him right in the heart and killed him. So you have to focus your senses to have a successful hunt. The difficulty of the game is the thing that gives more depth to the gameplay and makes the experience closer to reality.

Unique game sound

Of course, the unexpected sound of the Way of The Hunter game should not be ignored either. We are facing a world where instead of the sound of machines and industrial constructions, only the sound of animals, rustling leaves, flowing water in the river, and generally the sound of nature can be heard. Such pristine nature is the dream that this game brings to you. These items give life to the game world and in fact, the creators did their best to let you step into real and fully dynamic wildlife.

Beautiful nature becomes more enjoyable regardless of how skilled the hunter is. The game world of Way of The Hunter is designed with relatively good details. Thanks to the wonderful lighting of the game, we are facing a quality title on PlayStation 5 that can satisfy the audience. The creators have created wildlife and all game animals with special obsessions and fine details.

Final word

Way of The Hunter is the best title for those who want to be a little away from the real world and experience a real and enjoyable hunt. Some technical problems and game bugs sometimes make the game experience annoying. However, the beautiful nature, diverse wildlife, entertaining gameplay, and good visual quality of the game make you ignore the few problems of the game. It is possible to experience it as a co-op with friends who are into this style. Those who are new to hunting-style games may not enjoy this game due to its slow speed and high level of difficulty.

The new game The Division: Heartland is a series of Division games that takes place in the world of Tom Clancy. Red Storm Entertainment, the studio behind the game, is developing in this franchise for the first time.

According to the developers of this company, support for The Division 2 continues and a mobile game called The Division Resurgence is also under development; By developing this game and another game of the Division series for the mobile platform, Ubisoft is trying to attract more audiences for this game series.

Information Available from this Game

In Ubisoft’s online event, it was said that in Heartland, players will once again take on the role of one of The Division’s agents, this time going to a small town in the western states to protect the citizens from an invading threat. Furthermore, at the end of this section, the dedicated website of Division Heartland invited players to participate in the testing phase of the game.

There are two main parts to Division Heartland: the first is Storm Operations, which is the PvPvE mode. The mode pits 45 players against other players and rogue agents controlled by Vultures and requires them to escape the deadly virus. Excursions, the second part, puts players on PvE missions. In this mode, players must collect resources, activate sirens, and prepare the battlefield Excursion Operations.

Heartland is a completely independent game from the world of The Division, which is based on the core mechanics of this franchise; That means you are still dealing with a third-person shooter in the style of survival, which can play single-player and multiplayer.

Release date and Available Platforms

Ubisoft has announced that The Division Heartland will release in April 2023, but it has not yet confirmed the exact date. Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC will all be able to play this game.

After years of delays, restarts of development, changes in the production team, and all kinds of problems behind the scenes, Dead Island 2 finally appeared at the opening ceremony of this year’s Gamescom. Dambuster studio has re-unveiled this action and role-playing work by releasing a trailer. A variety of events and interviews have led to the publication of more information about this game, one more interesting than others.

Unlike the first game, Dead Island 2 will not be an open world. In an interview with Eurogamer, game director David Stanton and creative director James Worrall explained that the city of Los Angeles in Dead Island 2 is divided into several regions of different extents. Some of these areas are smaller and others are extensive. The game offers a variety of side missions and activities to the players.

Dead Island 2: Game World

Dead Island 2 will, however, follow a linear progression, with new areas unlocked only by progressing through the story. Of course, players will have the option to return to older areas whenever they want.

Stanton said:

“We have divided the city of Los Angeles into a series of districts. Some of them will be wide while others will be small. The area you experienced today is one of the smaller locations in the game. As you progress through the story, you can travel between unlockable areas. There are different types of side activities in these areas“

One of the exciting things about the world of Dead Island 2 is that the zombies in each area will be unique, and players will encounter new types of zombies by traveling through different regions.

James Worrall said about this:

“Each region has its zombie population, and they all reflect the characteristics of that region. Especially the Los Angeles lifestyle, how they choose, and how they dress. For example, in the game, there is some kind of zombie skaters who use helmets for this sport. We also have Muscle Beach, where you’ll encounter all sorts of beefy zombies on steroids. These are supposed to be right in front of you, right? We’re not interested in unleashing hordes of World War II zombies on players from afar. You know it’s all about combat and quick reaction. So these zombies have to feel like they were real people before.“

Dead Island: Release Date

Dead Island 2 will be available on PC, Google Stadia, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S on February 2023. The PC version of this game will be exclusive to the Epic Games store.

“Heroes never die.” That’s the Overwatch game’s catchphrase, which you’ve probably heard a million times if you or a teammate has ever been a Mercy main. It kind of evolved into the game’s de facto rallying cry since, despite Blizzard’s repeated attempts to cut down the flow of new content, it always reappeared regularly. What’s the situation with Overwatch 2?

It seems to have become a Blizzard’s tradition to ruin all of its creations. The promised story mode has been delayed till 2023. A lot of old and new features have been bugged out. Along with that, there have been problems with the servers and account transfers. Here’s everything we know.

New things brought to the new game

If you’re a seasoned player, the following significant gameplay changes in Overwatch 2 can be confusing to you:

Up to 30% of your Ultimate charge is refunded if you switch to another Hero in the middle of a game.

Instead of decreasing each hit by five damage as it did in the past, armor (seen as orange parts of a character’s health bar) now reduces instances of damage taken by 30%. All damage sources are equally affected by this damage reduction effect.

Temporary Health, which is displayed on a player’s health bar as a bright green tint, has replaced Temporary Shields and Temporary Armor. Heroic abilities now offer Temporary Health rather than Temporary Armor or Shields, such as Lucio’s Sound Barrier Ultimate, Junker Queen’s Commanding Shout Ability, and Doomfist’s The Best Defense Passive. Players will receive an Ultimate Ability charge at half the normal pace if they damage adversaries with Temporary Health.

To maintain all of their Hero unlocks and stats, returning players need to also make sure that Overwatch 2 cross-progression and account merging are turned on.

The reality of Overwatch 2

Let’s face it: Overwatch 2 had a terrible debut. When the servers went live on Tuesday, Overwatch 2 was plagued by two problems at once: a cyberattack and extremely long login queues due to high player interest.

The corporation was battling with Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks, according to a tweet from Blizzard Entertainment President Mike Ybarra. The servers were no longer being disrupted after Tuesday’s launch. In gaming, “server difficulties” and “launch day” invariably go hand in hand, thus many players were prepared for delays and disruptions.

Bugged heroes

If you haven’t noticed any technical difficulties, it’s possible that you’ve encountered a different kind of problem. For example, a bug that caused Bastion to spread chaos around itself. It has been noted that Bastion’s ultimate attack can be extended if the player clicks multiple times in a row, with the right timing. The attack was becoming so devastating that Blizzard decided to remove Bastion from all mods. Of course – only temporarily until they solve that problem.

Another hero followed Bastion’s path – Torbjorn. It has been noted that his Overloaded skill can be used twice in a row. As a result, he was temporarily pulled from the roster as well. However, Torbjorn is still available in the Quick Play mode of the game – he only disappeared in the Ranked mode.

Blizzard and classism

The use of Blizzard’s SMS Protect function, which necessitates a mobile phone number to prevent cheaters and deter hackers from taking control of player accounts, was another problem that plagued the debut of Overwatch 2. Due to the SMS Protect protocol, users with prepaid cellular accounts cannot utilize those mobile numbers. A Blizzard spokesperson said that the company is “actively engaging with some service providers to explore if we can expand the program to cover more users while still protecting our players and game security.”

Blizzard announced late Wednesday that an update they will release on Friday would modify SMS Protect. Everyone who has logged into Overwatch after June 2021 can play without the need for a phone number. However, those who haven’t will have to use it to get their accounts. Blizzard has also been rolling out updates to reduce long login lines and unstable online performance. Additionally, users have complained about missing items and other data; according to Blizzard, half of these problems are the result of individuals failing to merge their accounts. For the rest, Blizzard has said that they haven’t erased or destroyed any data. They are also working to recover any goods that had gone missing.

Closing thoughts about Overwatch 2

So far, everything about Overwatch 2 has been a disaster. If the launch wasn’t this rushed maybe this could have turned out to be a decent game. But, right now it’s just not worth playing.

Ubisoft plans to pay tribute to the roots of the series with Assassins. It was one of the main wishes of long-time fans of the series, who could never connect with the new trilogy, Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla.

The French company finally responded to their request by introducing Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Ubisoft announced the title after its information was leaked, releasing a trailer and information about it during the Ubisoft Forward conference. Here we will share all that we have learned about Mirage so far and see whether this title is exactly what Assassin fans are looking for.

It is an action-adventure game with a focus on stealth. Although its map is smaller than the new trilogy; the audience is dealing with a more dynamic environment filled with various NPCs. That is, almost similar to what we saw in Unity.

Mechanics

Many role-playing mechanics have been removed from this version, and the game follows a much more linear approach than the likes of Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla. Instead, Parkour, stealth, and assassination of important characters, all three of which were the main features of the classic Assassin’s Creed gameplay, are present in Mirage. Of course, Ubisoft has made changes to this formula. It has inherited a part from all essences released so far, according to the director of Mirage. Due to the game’s focus on stealth, the developers have designed new tools and weapons for Basim (the main character). One of them is mine detection, which causes the formation of a red cloud so that Basim can quickly escape from danger when necessary.

In addition, Baghdad’s design was based on Parkour, allowing Basim to quickly jump from one roof to another and pass the obstacles. Interestingly, Ubisoft has announced that it has increased the speed of Parkour even compared to the classic versions so that users can feel agile when moving in the high areas of the city. In addition to recreating classic movements and animations, the creators have also designed new Parkour moves for Basim.

The assassination of Negative Characters

Finally, we come to the assassination of negative characters. The Ubisoft Bordeaux team has focused a lot on this section and has provided the audience with new possibilities for this work.

The creators call these missions Black Box missions. You can assassinate your targets in different ways. If you are one of the old fans of this series, you are familiar with these types of missions.

Interestingly, the production team has designed a special tool to assassinate game characters. Another important feature added to this section is the ability to kill multiple targets at the same time, which has returned to this issue from the classic versions, although the creators of Mirage emphasized that this feature will be more like Mark and Execute in Splinter Cell Conviction.

Basim Ibn Ishaq

The game’s main character is Basim Ibn Ishaq, whom the audience of the Assassins series met for the first time in Valhalla. Basim was one of the most influential characters in Valhalla, but the story of Mirage takes place in the ninth century in 861 AD, about 11 to 17 years before the events we saw in Valhalla. Of course, the distance between the two parts is not clear. Valhalla took place between 872 and 878 AD. The producers have even referred to Mirage as a “Coming of Age” story as it follows Basim’s journey across several years. According to Ubisoft, we will witness Basim’s character transformation in this game and how he joins the Assassins.

According to Mirage Narrative Director Sarah Beaulieu, the game shows how the young and raw Basim transforms from a street thief to a master assassin. Throughout the game, we also learn more about The Hidden One’s cult, led by Aya and Bayek that was established in Assassin’s Creed Origins.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage set in Iraq

According to Jean-Luc Sala, the artistic director of Mirage, Baghdad was one of the most advanced cities in the world in the 9th century, a city that was the origin of modern science, art, commerce, and innovation.

The production team used many historical texts and related documentaries to design Baghdad as best as possible. To better understand this city during that period, they studied other important Iraqi cities of that period such as Samarra. There are four parts of Baghdad in Mirage. According to historical documents, Karkh was established 11 years after the formation of Baghdad and is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Baghdad. The other part is the “Round city of Baghdad”, considered a green place and the Abbas Caliphate’s main seat.

In addition to the meticulously designed locations, Sala promises that the city will be extremely busy and crowded. In this regard, Sala says, “The residents of the city react to your every move.” In this case, we can expect Baghdad similar to Paris Assassins Creed Unity.

Release Date and Platforms

PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X players will be able to play Assassin’s Creed Mirage in 2023. PC users can also purchase this version through the Ubisoft or Epic Store. This game is available to the audience in three different editions. The normal version is 50 dollars and is even 10 dollars below the price of 8th-generation games. The Deluxe Edition version includes the story DLC of 40 Thieves of Baghdad. According to the creators, they made this DLC inspired by Prince of Persia. Finally, the limited Collector’s Case, in addition to the main game and its DLC, includes a 32 cm figure of Basim, a physical map of Baghdad, and an excellent steel book.

Conclusion

Assassin’s creed Mirage includes many features that fans of the classic versions of the Assassins series have been waiting for. We also hope that this game is exactly what fans of the classic series have come to expect.

With its isometric style, Beat ’em Up gameplay, and attractive action, this game has attracted many fans of independent action games.

Midnight Fight Express

If I want to summarize this game in one word, I have to say that the action of this game is very cool and this opinion remains the same at every stage of the game. From the beginning of the game, even though you haven’t unlocked any special combo yet, the gameplay manages to make the audience addicted to the game.

Controlling the game is also very simple, with one button for your punches and kicks, one button to defend and parry attacks, one to grab, one to dodge, and most importantly, one to pick up and throw objects and weapons.

You can pick up various objects from boxes to chairs of dishes and anything else you can think of and throw them at your enemies. What makes this mechanic unique, however, is its speed and integration with your normal fights

In addition to environmental objects, there are general weapons, such as knives, sticks, guns, etc., which you can use normally to defeat enemies; And of course, throw them at the enemies whenever you want.

These are just your early game features that increase in variety as you progress through the stages. But as you complete each stage you will receive a skill upgrade point. You can use upgrade points for one of the combo categories. This upgrade system ensures that you improve as you complete each stage. You will become a very dangerous creature. But that doesn’t mean the end game will be easy. The game will maintain its sense of challenge in all stages.

Game Stages

All stages of Midnight Fight Express are full of chaos and exciting super-action scenarios. But the repeated use of any style of gameplay may become repetitive after a while and the game maker knows this very well, so every few stages you will experience a series of action scenarios and unique boss fights; That will entice you to keep playing just to see what else is waiting for you. As you complete each stage, related challenges will open up so that you can experience them again.

In addition, different enemies specific to that area are also introduced in each game environment. Most of them look different from the enemies of the previous areas. For example, Plague Bearers quickly dodge your shots when you get a firearm, gang members fight rival gang members, cops can disarm you if you approach them, and many more.

But in the meantime, there are some enemies whose designs are more annoying than challenging your skill. For example, enemies called The Possessed, who keep jumping into the air, or the Rat King, who won’t let you hit or defend. There are others whose difficulty limits you from using most of your skills. But fortunately, the number of these unbalanced enemies is few and they only appear in some special stages.

Save The City in One Night

The story of the game is not revolutionary and therefore the main focus of the game experience is on the best gameplay of the game. Your story begins when you are arrested and asked to tell the detectives your story.

You play the role of a person nicknamed “Baby Face” in your apartment when a drone named “Droney” enters your house and asks you to help him save the city of Tomorrow because the city is almost dominated by criminals and in the center of it there is a person nicknamed The Boss in control of all this chaos. According to him, it seems that you were part of the members of these criminals, but now you have no memory of the reason and what you did. So, your mission is to save the city.

Also, throughout the story, the game is full of various references to popular games and media, of which you will undoubtedly recognize at least a few; the positive point of this issue is that these references are not forcibly included in the story of the game and the same sense of integrity is felt in this context.

Along with all these interesting things, the developer of the game has managed to make the experience of Midnight Fight Express even more interesting with the soundtrack of the game.

Game Music

Of course, music is one of the main parts of any video game, but what makes the music of Midnight Fight Express unique is the amount of power and the wonderful mix of each music in each stage of this game.

Noisecream is the composer of the game’s music. This electro-style music is so great that it increases the level of adrenaline in your body and turns all your fights in Midnight Fight Express into a very special and cool experience.

Conclusion

Midnight Fight Express has once again shown that a game doesn’t need a big budget, a big team, or heavy graphics to provide a great gaming experience. The game’s developer, Jacob Zweinell, along with the wonderful music of Noisecream, has managed to create a delightful work with the ability to experience the game multiple times.

But of course, among all the good things that the game offers, there have been some weaknesses, which fortunately in this title, its weaknesses do not prevent the good experience of the game. However, Midnight Fight Express is, overall, a great success and one of the best indie titles I’ve ever played.

Five years after the events of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor picks up. As one of the few remaining Jedi, Cal must constantly keep one step ahead of the Empire’s relentless pursuit.

Jedi: Survivor, created by the seasoned Respawn Entertainment team, will build on the exhilarating combat found in Jedi: Fallen Order as well as the legendary Star wars storylines, worlds, and characters.

Release date of Star wars Jedi: Survivor

The release date is somewhere in 2023. While Jedi: Survivor is progressing similarly to its predecessor, neither Respawn nor LucasFilm Games have officially announced a more precise release date. EA first unveiled Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order at Star Wars Celebration in 2018. It was then released in November 2019. It appears realistic to anticipate Jedi: Survivor 2, which the Apex Legend creator has been working on for three years, to release in Fall 2023.

The story

The Star Wars Jedi: Survivor plot starts up five years after Jedi: Fallen Order. To remind you, it ended with Cal Kestis forgoing the opportunity to revive the Jedi Order in order to protect children who are Force-sensitive from the Empire. As one of the last remaining Jedi in the galaxy, Cal must “do everything it takes to stay alive” in Jedi: Survivor. Respawn promises it will have a darker tone. This may entail “creating friendships with people that, in other times, may be deemed unpleasant,” the game’s director Stig Asmussen teases, further portraying the gloomy circumstances in which Cal and his allies find themselves.

The gameplay

Respawn hasn’t yet made any gameplay footage available to the public, but the company has talked about how it handles progression and combat. Respawn is “leveraging new technology” of the PS5 and Xbox Series X to “create more dynamic Jedi combat,” according to game director Stig Asmussen. Including that “Jedi: Survivor will add new and creative approaches to the series’ dynamic combat. Cal needs to develop his use of the Force and acquire new skills in order to survive.”

Will Star Wars Jedi: Survivor be next-gen only?

The next-gen exclusive game Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. This means you cant use last-gen consoles, which is unfortunate for people who haven’t had the opportunity to upgrade yet. More and more next-gen-only games are appearing, such as Tekken 8 and Forspoken. Maybe it’s finally time to upgrade to a PC or console from the current generation.

Closing thoughts

Since there isn’t much information available about the game, it is hard to say anything. However, the way Cal’s story is going, we must say – it will certainly be very interesting. The only shame about this game is that it’s a next-gen exclusive which will make a lot of fans left out.

After a long time of ignorance, this time the details of the development of State of Decay 3 have been revealed. It seems to be done with the help of the powerful game engine Unreal Engine 5″ and with the developers of the popular title Gears of War. In the following, we will discuss more complete explanations of this new version.

It’s been a while since we heard about the development of State of Decay 3 as the third part of Undead Labs’ open-world survival horror game series. Matt Booty, the head of Xbox Game Studios, has revealed some information about this new game on Major Nelson’s podcast.

Almost two years have passed since the State of Decay 3 announcement. At the time, developer Undead Labs stated that the game was still in its early stages of pre-production. However, five months ago, reports indicated that there were problems with the development process and gender discrimination issues, which caused the game to remain in its pre-production stage.

It seems that in State of Decay 3 we will also see zombie animals that will challenge you.

Making the game State of Decay 3 with the help of Unreal Engine 5

Now, in an interview with Major Nelson, Botti mentioned the details of the development of the State of Decay 3 with the help of the Unreal Engine 5 game engine. Also, he mentioned that the next project, “inXile,” is very exciting. During one of his recent visits, he even announced that Phil Spencer played the game for a while. There is a rumor that InXile’s next game will be a steampunk-themed RPG under the direction of former Arcanum developers. Finally, we have to wait for more news in this field.

You can read Booty’s interview in full on the Major Nelson podcast below:

Booty’s interview on the Major Nelson podcast

We have a structure that we call meetings, where we gather subject matter experts for a day or two. We experienced animation sessions, UI sessions, Unreal Engine sessions, physics sessions, etc. These meetings are our main mechanism for sharing new technologies among our various team members.

You mentioned Undead Labs, they’re working with The Coalition in Vancouver, our Gears of War studio. To use some of the technology around Unreal Engine 5 and some of the stuff that’s already in Gears of War.

Last week, we spent the whole day in Undead Labs in Seattle, which was great, and we got some cool new updates for State of Decay 3. In addition to the State of Decay 2 continuing to grow, I think we now have eleven million lifetime players in State of Decay 2, which is pretty cool.

Atlas Fallen is a new sandbox action/RPG video game. During the published trailer, we see parts of the gameplay. It seems that we are dealing with a title that has different classes of characters, each with their own specifics. In the trailer, there is also an example of two of the game’s characters’ skills

The German developers “Deck13” released Atlas Fallen during the event. This work is inspired by Horizon and God of War titles.

According to the latest news of the game, Jeremy Hartwick, the design director of Deck13 studio, announced in an interview that players will make mysterious discoveries in the sand and semi-open world. He said it is better to think of it as an action RPG like Guerrilla’s Horizon or God of War. In Atlas Fallen, players can play the game in three different difficulty levels, from adventure mode to standard and very hard. In this way, unlike other works of this studio, players can relate to Atlas Fallen more easily.

Inspired by Horizon and God of War titles

As Hartwick described, Atlas Fallen’s battle system will be different from other titles from this studio. He said in designing Atlas Fallen’s battles, we tried to create smooth and very enjoyable gameplay for the players while maintaining the core of the Deck13 InteractiveSurge game series. We took everything a step further in the direction of advanced character management and customizing players’ movements and showed the face of the RPG style.

Hartwick also continued that they removed the limitations of the game’s realism. Instead, they were focused more on creating a powerful and exciting feeling for the players.

Atlas Fallen does not yet have a lot of information available. Nevertheless, based on an interview with the developers, we can say that this title will be available for 9th-generation platforms and PCs. The exact release date for Atlas Fallen has not been announced. However, we know that Deck13 plans to release the game in 2023.

Fans of the Diablo 4 series have been waiting for the fourth version of the game for a long time. But it seems that this wait will end soon. At the Bethesda and Xbox event, Blizzard confirmed that the game will be released in 2023 for PC and 8th and 9th generation consoles.

Thanks to this event and other details released since then, we know more about Diablo 4. We have gathered the biggest and most important information available for you in the following. So stay tuned with Bizznerd.

Necromancer

The most important news that has been released for Diablo 4 so far is the return of the Necromancer class. Before this installment, playable classes were Druid, Rogue, Sorceress, and Barbarian. The Necromancer is the game’s fifth selectable class. Like other classes, the necromancer has undergone changes that you will see in detail below.

Necromancer Skills and Weapons

The Necromancer has many weapons available from different swords and daggers to different sticks and shields. The skills of this class fall into four categories. Bone, for physical abilities and powers; Darkness, to cast shadow spells and weaken enemies; Blood, to cast damaging spells, and Army, to summon the dead to fight alongside you. Undoubtedly, the last mentioned category is supposed to be this class’s most popular.

Book of the Dead

Thanks to having a power called the Book of the Dead, the Necromancer can have more control over the type of his undead army. Using this ability, players of this class will be able to add more variety to their undead. It can include various Blood, Bone, and Iron golems, steal the opponent’s health, use it as a tank, and attack, respectively. There are also reapers with their famous scythes, bone warriors and wizards, and several other types of undead to choose from.

Customization

As expected from Diablo, Blizzard has provided a lot of customization options for characters. Your items and skills can be changed at your will. You can also easily change from one style to another. There are many expectations from the game for customization in the decorating section. Of course, the exact details have not been released yet. We can hope that soon more information will be revealed to us from this department.

Strongholds

One of the interesting things that we are going to see in Diablo 4 is the presence of Strongholds: The area that is in the possession of your enemies. Raiding these areas and destroying enemies, in addition to the usual loot and experience points, will transform the area into something else. After conquering, a city may appear instead, where people and NPCs return, or a new dungeon may be found. This event has a lot of potential to change the game plan and fans are curious to know more about how this system works.

Local Events and Global Boss Fights

The Diablo game map is supposed to host various events. Some of them have been included with a focus on multiplayer and co-op modes. For example, local events are small parts of the story that appear in a part of the world you’re playing in and you can participate in them. World bosses are huge enemies that will appear in the shared world of Diablo 4, and players must cooperate to defeat them.

PvP

The multiplayer part of Diablo 4 is not going to focus only on cooperation. The game will include areas where players can kill each other and compete for various prizes. The top players in this section are marked as champions on other players’ maps, which will make them a more attractive target for other players.

Endgame Content

Diablo can’t be imagined without post-end content. This point has been there since the first version of the game. Now the same is expected from the new version. Fortunately, the creators of Diablo 4 are also aware of this, at least Blizzard says so for now. According to the developers, when you experience all the content of the game, you can go to the nightmare dungeons, enjoy the PvP section, raise your character’s powers to a higher level than the maximum with the Paragon Board’s system, go for more powerful loots, interact with the “Tree of Whispers” and other activities.

Post-Launch Programs

Maybe end-game content is satisfactory to you, but, there is always a need for new content. Blizzard has promised to add new content to the game in the next few years. What will it include is not yet known, but Blizzard has announced that a lot of it will be released after the game’s launch. For content that requires payment, the developers have announced that this section will include optional decorations and complete add-on packages.

Cross-Play

The game supports online multiplayer and local co-op on consoles and PC, but multiplayer isn’t limited to just one platform. The creators have confirmed that the game supports full crossplay between PCs and 9th-generation consoles. You can transfer your progress in the game between different devices.

This game is the sequel to Ark: Survival Evolved, which was an action-adventure title released in 2017. The title was developed by and focused mostly on the online aspects. Now, since Vin Diesel is present in Ark 2, it can be expected that the focus of this version will be more on the story aspects. The trailer also mentioned advanced technology with the atmosphere of Horizon Zero Dawn, which shows the difference from the first version.

The information published on the Xbox website shows that the game Ark 2 will be released in 2022 and as a console exclusive on the Xbox Series X and Series S consoles. Also, the trailer shown at The Game Awards 2020 was in-engine and it has some of the features you can expect.

Another point that we should mention is that Vin Diesel himself is one of the producers of this title. Apparently, he was a fan of the first version and played it for about 1000 hours.

Studio Wildcard’s sandbox game Ark 2 received a short teaser trailer during the Xbox and Bethesda event. Unfortunately, along with this trailer, we also saw the delay of the game. Instead of 2022, Ark 2 will be released in 2023. The good news is that the game will be available on Xbox Game Pass from launch day. Vin Diesel fights for survival as Santiago.

The Game Awards event

The Game Awards event is one of the most-watched and popular events in the video game industry. It has always been of interest to the audience and game makers. Even after the end of the event, it has been talked about in-game circles for a long time. Undoubtedly, one of the most interesting events of this ceremony was watching Mr. Vin Diesel in the role of Ark 2.

A cinematic trailer of the game was released in collaboration with IGN. In this trailer, we saw the presence of dinosaurs and humans, as well as primitive and modern weapons. The name of Mr. Van Diesel’s character is Santiago, and this information is all that we know about the game. Before the release of this trailer, the production of a serial animation related to the world of the game was also confirmed.
