The buying and selling of Bitcoin have been greatly diversified, and investors have many options. Buying in person means finding a platform to buy and using it yourself; it could be an online platform like Swyftx or a physical platform. So, if you are somewhat skeptical about using automated processes or agents and prefer the traditional option of buying in person, then we will give you some insights on how to go about it.

Can I Buy BTC in Person? Where to Buy

Can I buy BTC in person? As mentioned, you can buy BTC by yourself. The options are many, and we will focus on the main ones.

Buying from an online exchange – The best option to buy BTC is through a reliable exchange such as NakitCoins. You need to access the web platform through a computer or an app through a mobile phone. You then need to register for an account and fill in your details to purchase the digital assets. Crypto exchanges accept a variety of payment methods such as bank transfers, debit or credit cards, and payment apps, which you can use conveniently from the comfort of your device.

Physical exchanges – Another option to buy Bitcoins in person is through a physical exchange. These are office outlets where the buyer walks in and purchases the digital assets they want. It is one of the best options for everyone who is wondering, “Can I buy BTC in person?” They are also very affordable and secure.

Bitcoin ATMs – This is another physical option where BTC investors can transact fast and conveniently. Today, you will find many Bitcoin booths in major cities, and they are easy to use. Buying Bitcoin from these machines is simple and straightforward; the instructions are easy to follow.

Can I Buy BTC in Person? How to Buy

Are you still considering, “Can I buy BTC in person?” After looking at popular platforms for this, then you need to know how to do it. Basically, BTC and all other cryptocurrencies are virtual currencies, and you cannot hold them. They are stored in a digital wallet, which allows you to access your cryptocurrency on the blockchain. It should be hosted by a secure and trusted device or platform. Users are given a wallet address to give those who want to send them cryptocurrency and private keys to access the wallet. Before you buy for the first time, you need to have a digital wallet.

You also need fiat money or other cryptocurrencies to pay for Bitcoin. Crypto trading, especially through major platforms, is flexible, and they accept a variety of payment options. So, check well to ensure the platform you use accepts the finances that you have.

You also need a secure internet connection to transact through an online exchange. Hacking and malicious infiltration are still a significant risk in crypto trading. Actually, you might lose your investment in the blink of an eye.

Conclusion

Can I buy BTC in person? Yes, you can, and now that you have the options, it is time to do it. You also know how to go about it, and it is the perfect time to give it a try. It is one step towards achieving your cryptocurrency investment goals.

On the back of new legislation that limits local entities’ access to digital assets, a number of South Korean banks have opted to go the route of offering crypto custody services as a viable solution to the prevailing situation.

Regulations of Cryptocurrencies in South Korea

Many cryptocurrency enthusiasts spoke of the days that digital assets would go mainstream, with regulations being the common subject of many of those discussions. Well, after all the waiting and debating, crypto’s time to shine has finally arrived – with regulations in tow.

In the South Korean context, legislators have come to the conclusion that all entities that provide digital assets management services, including cryptocurrency exchange and providers of other related services, must register to gain the approval of the country monetary watchdog, KFUI (Korean Financial Intelligence Unit), in order to operate legally within South Korean borders.

This process requires all entities that wish to or already operate in the digital assets arena to register with the ISMS (Information Security Management System). The aim is to ensure that all accounts have real names attached to them and that cryptocurrency transactions are not used to circumvent the system’s safeguards against financial crimes like money laundering.

Korean banks adapt to suit the changing environment

Following the regulator’s announcement, a number of big banks in South Korea went in search of alternatives that would help them continue to provide their customers with access to digital assets-related services like exchanges.

The solution is forming partnerships with fintech companies in order to provide crypto custody services to their clients. More specifically, four banks in South Korea have gone the route. They are Kookmin Bank, NH Nonghyup Bank, and Shinhan Financial Group, and Woori Financial Group.

Kookmin Bank chose to team up with blockchain developer Haechi labs in bringing to life their DACS (Digital Assets Custody Service) named KODA, which currently offers support for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and KLAY tokens.

Shinhan Bank, on the other hand, opted to strategically invest in the already established KDAC (Korean Digital Assets Custody), which was developed by cry exchange Korbit. Meanwhile, Woori Financial Group joined forces with Coinplug, among the first cryptocurrency exchanges in South Korea and majority shareholder of the joint venture, to bring their clients a DAC service named D-Custody.

Lastly, we have NH Bank who struck an agreement with the second-largest digital assets exchange in South Korea, Bithumb, to provide their customers with accounts that allow them to directly trade top tier cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum with the Korean won.

Only a matter of time

Through their willingness to adapt to change, S. Korean legacy financial institutions have helped to keep the doors open for innovation, even in the face of what some might refer to as a government crackdown, particularly after the mention of a 20% capital gains tax that is set to go into effect next year.

However, the coming of regulation had been foretold, especially in the wake of both astronomical value gains and the staggering losses to cyber and financial crimes. It really was only a matter of time.

Cryptocurrency, a novel creation that was meant to upend the global financial services sector has for this very reason seen a lot of banks limit or even ban their customers from gaining exposure to digital assets through their facilities. However, there are a few banks that’ve chosen to go against the grain by openly being cryptocurrency-friendly.

For these financial institutions, the growth of cryptocurrency represents an opportunity to remodel their approach to banking and financial services in the hopes of getting ahead of the bigger banks, which have been the most reluctant to embrace blockchain-based finance. To that end, here is a list of the best cryptocurrency-friendly banks and financial service providers for 2021 – in no particular order.

The Best Crypto-Friendly Banks Right Now

Wala

Because one of cryptocurrency’s biggest selling points is the democratization of finance, a banking service like Wala fits perfectly in this list. Wala, being based in one of the most unbanked regions in the world, Africa, positions the bank well to be a future leader in both traditional finance and digital assets in the territory.

Solaris

The German-based bank is a fine example of a financial institution going all-in on digital assets. Apart from joining forces with a number of cryptocurrency platforms to build end-to-end infrastructure for seamless digital assets transactions, SolarisBank also offers a fully compliant crypto custody service with an integrated brokerage.

Ally

The United States has one of the largest and most active cryptocurrency communities in the world. However, there are still many concerns, especially the question of regulation. To tackle these burdens, Ally Bank worked to ensure that it is fully regulated by the relevant authorities and offers its clients both traditional and cryptocurrency-related financial services.

Multis

Multis’ main focus is to offer cryptocurrency banking services that are tailored to suit businesses. The San Francisco-based company allows its clients to securely deposit, store, trade, and withdraw digital assets through the services it offers. Furthermore, Multis helps its customers with managing their portfolios through tools like signals and indicators. It even goes as far as offering a payroll management service.

Revolut

Revolut is a UK-based bank that offers a wide range of digital asset-related services. For starters, Revolut’s app is a one-stop-shop where customers can buy, sell and withdraw crypto directly through the bank. Second, the bank also offers a profitable nominee service – an old method used by stockbrokers to protect their clients against them [Broker] going insolvent.

Wirex

Wirex is probably the most renowned of the financial institutions on this list and it is probably one of the oldest. Through a solid partnership with MasterCard, Wirex customers are able to use the debit card that is provided to directly spend their digital assets in exchange for goods in the real world – with the comfort of knowing that the company is fully regulated by the UK Financial Conduct Authority.

Cloud mining is not a new concept. In fact, many people have benefited from it during the previous cryptocurrency bull market cycle of 2017. However, time has passed and the environment has changed since then. So, is it still possible to make viable returns from Cloud Mining in 2021?

Before diving into the nitty-gritty details of the title in its contemporary state. Let’s run a quick recap and explainer of what it is and how we got to where we are today.

Cloud Mining From The Beginning To Now

In the years leading up to the 2017 bull run, the cost of cryptocurrency mining saw a steady and steep increase. That is due to the popularity spike. As the networks grew their user bases the hash rate demands increased. This in turn fueled an ever-increasing appetite for more specialised and more expensive crypto mining equipment. Furthermore, many saw the rise of mining firms like Bitmain as the end of Bitcoin’s freedom from centralized control.

Cloud Mining presented a potential remedy to the soaring costs and plummeting profits for small-scale mining operations. As the crossroads where blockchain-based transaction validation and cloud computing meet. Cloud Mining is intended to lower the financial threshold to entry through a business model. That will allow interested parties to rent the computing power from cloud services.

They offer these services in two distinct packages: Hosted Mining and Leased Hash power agreement. The former being the most popular model of Cloud Mining.

Hosted Mining

In the instance of Hosted Mining, a customer invests towards purchasing or leasing mining hardware that Cloud Mining service’s facility houses and operates. The mining services main responsibility is to ensure that the equipment is always running under optimal conditions, leaving direct control of the digital assets to the customer. The biggest drawback to this business model is the relatively steep cost of entry.

Hash Power Leasing Agreements

The approach here is very straight forward, users pay to lease hash power from a cryptocurrency mining farm and in return take a portion of the mining operations’ overall profits. Those people who are interested Altcoin mining are also usually interested in this form of Cloud Mining.

What To Look Out For

Though the cost reductions associated with Cloud Mining are very attractive, there are a number of potentially serious issues that one should always be on the lookout for.

Apart from the worrying proliferation of outright scams in this segment, the growth of cryptocurrency adoption will only make this field more competitive. If users or mining farms fail to keep up with the growing hash rate demands, diminished gains and fruitless harvest is all they’ll have to look forward to.

On that note, paying a lot of attention to the prospect of long-term profitability is a very good idea. Due to the fact that the mining farms can’t bear the financial burden of running the hardware, this means that a company that plans to stay afloat over the long run may have to take a slice of the profits as regular user fees alone might not be enough to keep the company viable. This dynamic will definitely have an impact on user profitability.

It is also important to note that the state of the market intertwines with cryptocurrency mining profitability. So, if investors fall out of favor with a particular digital asset, then the fixed nature of some of these lease agreements could betray an investor.

Is It Viable In 2021

As with every other cryptocurrency-related investment, due diligence is king. As for profitability, corporations like Bitmain tend to have better-looking financials during bull market cycles. Whether it works out the same or not for Cloud Mining investors is a matter of each investor crunching the numbers and working from those results.

It would also be wise to note that it is only a matter of time before regulators and tax authorities come strolling down this avenue of crypto investing.

The year 2020 has drawn to a close, and Bitcoin – as well as the rest of the cryptocurrency sphere – is undeniably in the throws of a bull market run. What price will the biggest cryptographic asset, by market capitalization peak at this bullrun?

The question has been on the minds of speculators – the world over – since the end of the last bull run at the close of 2017. A number of pundits have come forward with predictions, some as far fetched as $1 million, and others based on the asset’s past performance.

Financial Analyst and face of the Keiser report, Max Keiser predicted a $400,000 top for Bitcoin, while Internet Entrepreneur and Investor, foresaw a $75,000 top. Dutch trader, and Crypto Twitter personality, PlanB – based on his Bitcoin Stock-To-Flow model – believes Bitcoin may go as far as $300,000.

Experience market operator Josh Rager, in January of 2020 predicted that this bull run would end with Bitcoin at a price range of about $85,000 – $100,000. Leveraging his prediction on Bitcoin’s historical price action, he realized Bitcoin ATH’s drop by a certain percentage Bizznerd caught up with him to get details on his opinion.

Bizznerd: What do you consider when making predictions?

Josh Rager: The most important thing is to zoom out and look at the macro trend of the market. Start on the monthly chart, and work your way into the weekly/ daily and from there you can see whether an asset is in an uptrend, downtrend, or sideways market – that will give an idea of what’s likely next. Then you can look at the market structure and define key levels of resistance and support using past price history, I personally like to use Volume profile. I look at areas where the most volume was traded (these tend to be areas of supply/demand). Other charts I pay attention too are the 4 hr 1 hr and 15 minute charts.

I also like to pay attention to the funding rate, and the sentiment of the market. So based on trend, market structure, price action, and sentiment, I tend to make predictions on what’s likely to happen next (or possibilities as there are no certainties ever.)

Bizznerd: Your prediction is more moderate than most analysts, which is why I asked the first question. Why do you think most analysts make high predictions about Bitcoin’s future prices? What do they miss?

Josh Rager: Many people are chronically bullish because of the type of gains Bitcoin has made over the past 10 years and they want to be a part of the next big bull run to new highs. The fundamentals with Bitcoin being scarce, deflationary, and sound money also have people hoping for high prices. Many of these high predictions are based on bias as the return on investment from each cycle low to each cycle high is reduced by almost 20% each time. So when I look at the next peak for Bitcoin, I take that into account and I’m predicting much lower prices for the next high than most.

Everyone also likes to follow a bullish perspective. It makes them feel good so analysts sometimes lean bullish to get followers. Nobody likes to be told that they’re going to lose money. But this can lead to nonsensical speculative price predictions.

Bizznerd: How about halving rallies? Are they really a demand/supply phenomenon, whale activity, or just unfounded hype?

Josh Rager: While the block reward reduces, the overall supply of Bitcoin doesn’t reduce post halving (though I think demand will continue to go up after halving) But we’ve seen Bitcoin rally into halving and then drop/go sideways afterward… only to rally back and push to new highs.

It’s hard to say but the sample size is very small and to be honest, I personally think it’s already somewhat priced in as we’ve rallied from mid $6k to almost $10k (at time of interview in late Jan 2020). I think it moves up a little higher still from here and naturally price will need a pull back in the next couple months, and that could likely be around the halving. So, I would say it’s overhyped right now.

Bizznerd: What do you believe the next decade has in store for crypto markets?

Josh Rager: Long term, I’m bullish on digital assets, especially Bitcoin with its fundamentals. I think we truly can see more adoption of blockchain technology that will certainly have a positive impact on long term price of a few assets. I also believe that we see heavy regulation, and that’s going to allow more users and adopters. Which is a good thing overall and will bring more volume and liquidity in to keep the long term uptrend prices for Bitcoin going.

______

Rager, has since updated his prediction. He now believes that the current bullrun could extend as far as 2023, and that $150, 000/BTC is in play. It remains to be seen, which of the numerous projections made will hold, but with Bitcoin comfortably halfway to $100,000 at time of writing, we may be well above $100,00 by year-end alone.

A lot of traditional investors are only now discovering the crypto industry. Most of them are still rather hesitant to buy bitcoin with paybis as there is nothing tangible involved in the process. A digital coin? Worth $40.000? Why in the world would I want to do this?

Yet, over the past few years, Bitcoin has massively outperformed all investment markets. While its market cap is still low, we have seen it perform better than stocks, precious metals, and real estate on a year-over-year basis.

Aside from that, buyers can now use their cryptocurrency to generate stable passive income through a number of different financial products, all from the comfort of their computers. This makes the crypto industry at least equal in cash flow opportunities as compared to the real estate market. So where should you invest in?

Real estate is going nowhere, but is it the best option?

Let’s face it – real estate is one of the most proven investment markets in the world. It is one with a lot of security, steady cash flow, and ever-increasing demand due to inflation rates.

A house that costs $100.000 today will nearly certainly cost 10% more in the next 5-10 years. This is because the money supply continues to increase on a steady basis, while housing value remains stable.

Real estate provides the strong upside of both value preservation and cash flow generation – While your money remains stored in a rental property (which you can sell at any point in time), you can generate at least 6-8% returns per annum simply by renting it out.

Aside from that, real estate property can be used as collateral when trying to take out loans for further investments.

So, long story short, real estate is a great investment opportunity – this is why it is a $10 Trillion dollar market. But there are also several drawbacks to consider:

Short-term rentals (like Airbnb) are not sustainable as they can be banned on a state by state basis.

Long-term rental agreements favour the tenant and you could end up losing money while the latest stays in your apartment without making payments.

Geopolitical situations can heavily affect the pricing of homes, as well as the demand to obtain them.

Taxes, fees, and repairs are all paid from the landlord’s pocket, which can take a large bite from your profits.

Requires sizeable upfront investment.

Offers low returns compared to other investment opportunities.

Cryptocurrency as a new investment opportunity

Cryptocurrency is not tangible. It is also a lot more volatile than the real estate market. For many, the price swings and uncertainty experienced in the markets make it impossible to transition from real estate – a proven and long-standing investment vehicle – into crypto.

However, it might be smart to allocate a small amount of your portfolio to cryptocurrency investments, and there are multiple reasons for that. Let’s describe them one by one:

Cryptocurrency is an investment market in its infancy and still at a price discovery phase. While its fundamentals are stronger than many established markets, the public is still hesitant to invest, which would make you an early adoption, making the biggest upside.

Much like real estate, cryptocurrency investors can earn a cryptocurrency cash flow by “staking” their coins. This is currently possible only with coins that run on PoS blockchains.

On the contrary PoW coins can be stored in high-yield savings accounts on insured platforms, offering annual returns that nearly match that of the real estate industry. Among these platforms, BlockFi is about to go public, with a very high valuation. For reference, the platform offers an annual return rate of 8,6%, which is paid out weekly, thus taking the compound interest rate to nearly 10% at year’s end.

Many low-cap cryptocurrencies pose a short-term money-making opportunity. For those who are aware of market cycle dynamics, technology trends, and sentiment conditions, crypto investing can be more rewarding than any other form of investing.

That being said, there are also some drawbacks to crypto as compared to real estate:

ROI fluctuates massively, and so does the value of your investment.

Regulations around crypto investments are constantly changing, and so does its taxation.

Self custody (which is highly promoted in the crypto space) can be risky for non-tech savvy investors.

You could start your investment in crypto straight away. Just create a secure Bitamp bitcoin wallet and start your crypto journey with bitcoin.

So what is a better investment option?

In our opinion, both real estate and cryptocurrency should be part of a balanced portfolio. While real estate should form the majority of your investments (due to its low-risk and moderate returns), it would be unwise to disregard the growing industry of cryptocurrencies. Even a small, 1% allocation of your portfolio could quickly turn into 10% when cryptocurrency prices decide to (once again) go parabolic. And given the bull market, we are currently in, this is more likely than some tend to think.

Deribit, the crypto asset derivatives exchange is probably one of the premier exchange platforms originating from the Netherlands – which has a robust crypto culture. The exchange offers Bitcoin Futures, and Options Contract trading, on a framework that executes transactions with a mere millisecond of latency – virtually none, if you think about it.

Founded in 2016, by Sebastian Smyczýnski (Chief Technology Officer), John Jansen (Chief Executive Officer), Marius Jansen (Chief Operating Officer,) Deribit is a privately held company. However, this will come to change in 2021, as the exchange platform announced in January of 2020. In order to not fall under a jurisdiction subject to the European Union’s latest Anti-Money Laundering Directive (AML 5), the firm has begun the process of relocating headquarters to South American state, Panama.

The exchange, designed by Bitcoin enthusiasts, has -attached to it – some pretty nifty (there is no pun here) bells and whistles. Deribit enables traders hailing from over a hundred global territories to trade Bitcoin Options & Futures with up to a 100x leverage. Unfortunately, the only market available is Bitcoin, but that’s because the exchange is Bitcoin focused. Deposits, Withdrawals, Leverage Collateral ante-up, and other transactions are all conducted in Bitcoin.

The Platform

The Deribit Bitcoin derivatives exchange offers a web based trading interface, which is quite easy to navigate, even for a novice. The platform’s layout enables the traders eye to, almost intuitively, go from depth chart, to order-book, to trade window , any manner one prefers. The platform also features a mobile platform, available on both mobile operating systems, Android, & iOS – for the on the go trader.

The platform enables a number of risk mitigation oriented trading options, for both it’s Options, and Futures markets. Just to be clear, the platform allows a modest 10x leverage for most markets, but the margin jacks up to 100x when trading Futures contracts. Deribit even offers an option for traders to live-test their strategies on their simulated trading, they even give you Whale status, by fronting you 10 fake Bitcoin, so you can really go to town.

The platform has also made great effort toward being accessible in whichever way a user is comfortable. In addition to a mobile and web client, the exchange’s tech team has also made an API available, which plugs into trading bots. 95% of user value is also safeguarded by a cold-storage custody system.

Deposits & Withdrawals are pretty straight forward, if you’re familiar with crypto transactions, that is. Deribit how’s the extra step towards avoiding transactions being intercepted by hackers, generating an address every time a user wishes to make a deposit. Regarding withdrawals, the user is offered different priority levels, which come at different rates, so it comes down to urgency, and how much a user is willing to lose during withdrawal – still a great feature if one is racing to catch a trade on a different platform (arbitrage, anyone?)

Contracts

The Futures contracts on the Deribit platform are quite standard, with a monthly expiration date, similar in format to popular Bitcoin derivatives exchange, Bitstamp, Kraken, or Bitfinex for that matter. Contracts go for $10, a pop and can be rigged with Market, Limit, &, Stop orders.

Fees

Deribit’s Options contracts, however, are presented in the European fashion – can only be executed upon execution.

The exchange’s Maker fees will set the user back 0.00% of the trade value, while Taker trades carry a charge of 0.05%. For withdrawals, Deribit only charges a network fee, which depends on how urgently you’d like the transaction to go through.

Maker & Taker trades that provide liquidity also enjoy a rebate on the exchange, said rebate depends on the contract one is trading. Perpetual contracts carry a rebate of 0.025%, while taker fees cost 0.075%. Futures contracts will also return the user, 0.02% in fees. Options contracts on, on the other hand, will set one back 0.04% of underlying or 0.0004 Bitcoin per contract. Fees are capped at 12.5%.

We’re talking derivatives here, so expect a good number of traders to be liquidated.Traders who take a spanking in the Futures market will incur a liquidation fee of 0.35%. Perpetual contract liquidations will cost the user 0.037%. Options liquidation charges are set at 0.19% or 0.0019 BTC per contract. Liquidations for both perpetual and futures markets carry an additional 0.30% fee which is added to the exchange’s insurance fund, while 0.15% of options liquidations is allocated to the fund.

Conclusion

Pros

Transparent and openly communicative team

Futures and Options trading

Attractive trading fees

Zero deposit, or withdrawal fees

Up to 100× leverage

Cons

Not regulated

All transactions are BTC based

No fiat option

Targeted at seasoned traders

Deribit is a solid exchange platform, offering high opportunity for traders to make a profit, while mitigating risk. The interface is sleek and simple, and the fees are tailored to the high volume trader. Though the exchange is very communicative, and offers exceptional support staff, the fact that it remains unregulated in a time of fraudulent platforms could work against it .More assets being available would be a great touch, especially if the base asset on exchange was a stablecoin.

Bitcoin’s Stock to Flow Model (or S2F,) made famous by pseudonymous Dutch trader PlanB, has become the main argument for Bitcoin proponents in defence of their chosen investment asset. The model, which values BTC in similar fashion to traditional commodities; gold, and silver, seeks to value Bitcoin based on the asset’s rarity – among other assumptions. There are, however, many detractors who do not believe the model to be a reliable predictor of the benchmark digital asset’s future value.

To put it as simply as possible, the Stock-to-Flow model is a means of calculating the abundance/scarcity of a given asset. To come to a Stock to Flow ratio – a value which gives an indication of how much new supply of an asset is produced, in comparison to how much is in reserve – one divides the asset’s estimated reserve amount by the estimated amount of the asset coming into supply each year; SF = stock / flow.

With Stock representing the sum of the asset held in reserve, and Flow representing the average supply – of given asset – coming online every year, then the higher the Stock to Flow ratio, the smaller the amount of new supply. With smaller amounts of the asset finding its way onto the market each year, the price of said asset should – theoretically speaking – enjoy a stable price. Thus acting as a good hedge. Conversely, a lower S2F value will indicate a high amount of new supply, year-on-year; this category is made up of assets like wheat, or oil.

Relating to Gold

Since Bitcoin is often compared to gold, we’ll set the stage with gold. Gold also happens to, typically, have the highest S2F ratio of all other comparable assets. With the total amount of gold that has ever been pulled out of the ground being estimated at 190,000 tons, and the industry adding an average flow of 3,200 tons, the S2F value of gold stands at about 54 S2F.

With a 59 S2F value, we can assume that it would take about 59 years for the gold industry to double the current amount of gold held in stockpile – also assuming that the earth holds that much. Theoretically implying a stable supply.

Relating to Bitcoin

Regarding Bitcoin, the Stock to Flow model – at first glance – seems to have found the ideal technological candidate. Bitcoin’s supply is algorithmically entrenched, thus making the question of supply a rather predictable one.

With 18.5 million of the digital asset in Stock, by current supply parameters – about 329,500 new Bitcoin being minted every year – BTC’s S2F currently stands at 56 (hence the comparisons.) Since Bitcoin’s, per block, supply is set up to decay by half every 210,000 blocks (about 4 years,) BTC flow shrinks over time. Which increases it’s S2F over time. It is predicted that BTC will have a higher S2F value than gold, by the year 2022.

The Stock to Flow model evaluates Bitcoin’s historical values to ascertain a picture of where it might head in future, it all hinges on limited supply. The original S2F model predicted an all time high of circa $55,000, with a market cap of $1 trillion. An updated version of the model, published in April of 2020, includes metrics derived from gold – as well as – silver markets and arrives at a prediction that is fivefold as optimistic as the original; over $288,000.

Caution

The Stock to Flow model – like all prediction models – is limited by the assumptions they take into account to arrive at an answer, and can never offer a complete picture. The Stock to Flow model is limited by the fact that it holds the assumption that the scarcity of an asset should be the only factor to influence it’s value. Neglecting volatility, as well as black swan events.

Nico Cordeiro, Fund Manager, and Investment officer at Strix Leviathan highlights a few more of the model’s failings, dismissing it as a reliable predictor of Bitcoin’s future performance.

In Closing

The Stock to Flow model is usually applied to precious metals, but offers a unique approach to predicting Bitcoin’s future performance. Despite its limitations, it can possibly be considered in conjunction with a combination of other models to deliver a more rounded prediction of market performance. It should probably not be used alone though, as Bitcoin has not been around long enough to be completely relied upon.

Decentralized Finance (Defi) has been a hot topic for most of 2020. The current boom in digital asset markets is, undoubtedly, being carried on the back of Defi. While many looked to Bitcoin to lead the way in terms of All Time Highs, it was Yearn.Finance’s little-known governance token, YFI, which stole the benchmark digital asset’s thunder – outdoing BTC by reaching the $20k mark (and tearing past it, to price above $36k) before a bullrun had even been fully established.

Accidental ”Bitcoin killer”, YFI, started it’s life as a governance token with no value (well, at least that was the issuers’ intent.) It’s host platform? An Ethereum based smart contract that is designed to be a Defi gateway. By DeFi gateway, we mean a yield farming platform, where folks can stake various DeFi tokens and earn interest on their value. Yield farming, as it is called.

The platform enables non-savvy investors to make the most of their asset holding activity, by offering high yield staking and lending services. Yearn.Finance, briefly, became the top DeFI platform in July, coinciding with the coin causing a stir in the markets.

It apparently was not the intention of founder, André Cronje, and the team of developers behind the platform to issue a beast of a token. It’s actually a confluence of a number of factors that did it; The current decentralized finance token buying frenzy, the fact that the token is rare, and blatant speculation, all played a role in raising YFI to the digital asset pantheon.

Made public in July, the token grew over 11,000% in value, from a debut price of $32- in about a week. The token – though ranked 44th in terms of market capitalization – is (at time of writing) worth $13,963. This is well below an All Time High of $43,262 just before the August market correction, when altseason was brought to a screeching halt by a sharp drop in Bitcoin’s price, following a feverish July trading month.

There are only 30,000 YFI tokens in circulation, all generated before release, as this is (meant to be) a voting coin. Speculators likely were immediately attracted to the token by it’s rarity. What happened next was unprecedented. First climbing from $3, to $32 in value on Defi-centred decentralized exchange platform, Uniswap, the Yearn token went on to take on a life of its own and began to bullet up the price charts after popular centralized exchanges started listing the token.

The Yearn.finance platform offers such an attractive array of yield farming products that it currently has about $458 million (down from a high of nearly $10 million) in value currently locked in the decentralized investment house’s contract. Wrapped ETH (over $22.7 million’s worth) and various stablecoins appear to be the most popular assets to invest in, on the platform, as many crypto investors seem to like to know just how much – in dollar value – they’re investing. The transition to using Bitcoin as a base value is taking time, as folks are probably accustomed to using traditional, fiat based, investment products. Stablecoins (basically, fiat currency that behaves like crypto) seem to ease the psychological transition into crypto.

Earlier in October, an unfinished project the lead developer, André Cronje, had been working on suffered a security breach which saw funds in the project’s wallet, pilfered by code crackers. This, somehow sparked a rumor that Cronje was abandoning the Yearn project altogether. To which he responded, “Still here. Still building. Nothing has changed. Anyone that says otherwise f*** off. I’m just done tweeting and being on social media.”

Cronje’s rockstar attitude could be part of the reason YFI has received such attention. That, and the simple brilliance behind the Yearn platform.

One of the most interesting developments in the cryptocurrency space is the introduction of a free to use WordPress plugin that allows anyone to use decentralized cryptocurrency exchanges through WP sites that opt to enable the plugin.

This marks the latest major move by the Tim Draper backed blockchain venture capital firm Draper Goren Holm.

This seemingly small event is made significant by the fact that WordPress’ intuitive user interface and well stocked plugin platform have led to more than 450 millions websites being built using their back end offering.

Draper Goren Holm, Who Are They?

Draper Goren Holm is a blockchain incubator and venture capital firm and was founded by Alon Goren and Josef Holm. The pair are also responsible for the Los Angeles Blockchain Summit and the Security Token Summit.

Tim Draper, the billionaire Bitcoin bull who predicts a BTC price of $250 000 by 2023, joined the firm in 2019. Altogether, the company also boasts an impressive list of companies they work with, these include CasperLabs and Ethereum Sport Betting Degens.

How It Works

For the interested user, setting up the plugin is a process that is simple to follow. It is as a matter of downloading the zipped file, unzipping it (using the plugins menu) and adding it to by clicking on the “add new” option to get the process started.

After activation, adding the [wpdex] short code to your site’s portal, the plugin should be ready for use.

From beneath the skin, the plugin leverages the Totle De-Fi aggregator to automatically find the best rates across multiple Decentralized Exchanges, thus ensuring that the user buys or sells at the best possible price.

An important note to keep in mind is that this does not mean that you are now able to host an exchange on your WordPress site. Instead, this is more along the lines of a window to a network of many well established DEXs.

Why It Made The News

Data gathered through 2019 suggests a significant leap in the use of DEX. This may be a result of the security risks associated with the more centralised cryptocurrency exchanges, which account for most day-to-day trading of digital assets and are known to be attractive targets for cybercrime.

For some people in the blockchain and cryptocurrency market, Decentralized Exchanges stay true to one of the crypto-community’s core values. Which is decentralisation. Whatever it may be, the sheer number of sites built on WordPress makes this little plugin a potentially big move for the DEX side of the market.

For example, Decentralized Exchanges have been viewed as being complicated and difficult to use. This has been one of the barriers that has kept their centralised counterparts in the lead. However it may be a lot easier for first time investors to use a DEX via a website they already trust to give them reliable news.

Conclusion

To the advocates of full decentralisation, this is a bold gesture that ensures the freedoms of the decentralized economy that seems to keep on growing from strength to strength.

You can buy Bitcoins directly on Paybis with credit or debit card or any payment method which suits you the best. Their goal is to provide customers with a secure trading platform with 24/7 live support

Registration and Verification on Paybis

You can use your Facebook or Google account to sign up for their services quickly and securely. In order to complete registration, you still need to confirm your email address.

There are different Verification tiers. Once you sign in you can still buy crypto with Bitcoin, Advanced Cash, Perfect Money and Payeer. But if you want to add more options like purchase crypto with Bank Transfer, Credit/Debit Card, Skrill you’ll need to provide additional information. There are 3 tiers of verification and each has its own daily/weekly/monthly limit depending on the payment method you would like to use.

Paybis requests customer to go through a verification process which consists of ID verification and residence address in order to prevent fraud attempts and follow AML policies. This is to protect customer funds from unauthorized usage and to prevent money laundering and cyber terrorism.

At the same time, they respect privacy promise all information you provide them is kept securely on their servers that are not connected to the public web.

Normally it takes 10-20 mins to get verified while making the first transaction if you fill in all information required correctly and you upload good quality pictures.

The level 1 verification is mandatory to use the platform. This includes providing personal information (like name, date of birth, address, ID numbers). You also need to provide a copy of your documents to them. For level 2 verification you need to provide them with a selfie of your IDs and a proof of your address. For level 3 verification they also require additional documentation for your bank account and a minimum amount of completed transaction on the platform.

Although generically speaking you are required to verify your identity when using the platform, there are some exceptions you can still buy bitcoin without verification. There are a few methods available to buy Bitcoin without verification. Amazon.com gift cards do not require verification. Additionally, the level 1 verification for Perfect Money, Advanced Cash and Payeer payment methods are granted automatically, thus you can make purchases of Bitcoin without verification up to specific amounts.

Verification limits are depending on the payment method you would like to use. For Visa/MasterCard credit/debit cards, limits are USD 20,000/50,000 per week/month. For other digital wallet payments like Advanced Cash, Perfect Money, and others, they allow up to USD/EUR 500,000 per week. With Bank Transfers EUR/USD/RUB Paybis allows up to USD 200,000 of purchases per week or equivalent in other currencies.

Paybis does not support every single country in the world. Due to local legislation, Paybis does not provide services to the residents of certain US states (New York (NY), Georgia (GA), Connecticut (CT), New Mexico (NM), Washington (WA), Hawaii (HI)) and some other countries due to international trade agreements. Make sure you check out the list of restricted countries on their website before signing up.

Features on Paybis

The most impressive feature of Paybis is the variety of payment methods they offer. You can pay with Visa and Mastercards, SEPA or bank wire transfers.

Paybis Rates

Fees on Paybis

Before engaging into a deal on Paybis, make sure you check the fees and commissions on their ates sheet. The fee structure is a bit complicated so make sure you take the time to understand what you are dealing with.

Each payment method comes with a different fee which is based on a % commission and sometimes a flat fee added to this. Flat fees can increase your base costs during a small number of purchases. The price of bitcoin and other cryptocurrency is depending thus on the payment method you choose. Paybis tried to be transparent as much they could be on the fees side, so you can see next to each payment method how much will that purchase cost to you after the commissions and fees are deducted. The price of Bitcoin and other cryptos are also varying depending on if you are buying or selling.

Trading on Paybis

The initial step of purchasing Bitcoin should be to create a wallet. Paybis does not store the cryptos for you, they advise you to create your own wallet to ensure maximum safety. There are a lot of wallets provide you can find on the market, any kind of wallet will be good which you have access to, so you have the 24 characters long public key.

After this, you only need to go through some simple steps in order to buy Bitcoin on Paybis. Similarly, you will go through the same steps when you are selling Bitcoin on Paybis.

Select Bank Transfer, Credit card or Debit card on the left-side column, depending on which one you want to use

Select Bitcoin (or any other crypto) you would like to purchase

Enter the amount you would like to buy

Complete the transaction

When you are selecting the payment method to choose something that is legal in your country and the fees are reasonable. There are also payment methods that are available in some countries, while in others they are not. Paybis helps you buy Bitcoin with regular money like USD, EUR, GBP using a wide range of payment methods, such as Credit and Debit cards, Bank Transfers in EUR (SEPA), Bank Transfers (USD), Advanced Cash, Payeer, Skrill, Neteller, and Perfect Money.

To complete your first purchase, input the amount of Bitcoin you are willing to purchase and enter your wallet address so you can receive your purchased Bitcoins. Make sure you provide an address here which you can access, Bitcoin transactions are irreversible, so if you have entered an incorrect address your coins could be lost forever.

Press the buy button and your newly acquired Bitcoin will be sent and stored in your digital wallet.

It usually takes a few minutes to complete a purchase and, once the amount is sent and confirmed on the blockchain, it will be visible in your wallet.

After you start a transaction to purchase a cryptocurrency on Paybis the timeframe to complete a payment is fixed for 30 minutes. During the initial 30 minutes timeframe, the amount of cryptocurrency being purchased is fixed. This model ensures that even under volatile market conditions client will receive the exact amount of cryptocurrency they see at the start of the transaction.

Support on Paybis

Paybis provides support services 24/7, they are proud of the response time on all platform. According to the website, the average response time to online chats is ~15 seconds, and for account verification requests is ~60 mins.
Although the site is translated, please note that live support is still provided in English, Latvian and Russian languages only.

Security on Paybis

Paybis have turned on the possibility to add ratings to their Facebook page this means anyone who has a Facebook profile can rate their service which they cannot modify. This ensures that even bad reviews stay on the page, but unfortunately also means that anyone can comment with a Facebook account, regardless if they have truly used the service. Out of 18 opinions, their service is rated at 3.8/5. There were two users complaining about their service so far. Their issue was that Paybis asked for personal documents before the transactions. On the other hand, apart from these complaints, there are no real complaints about their services, nobody reported that they got scammed using their services and their Trustpilot rating is very high as well.

Paybis does not store any cryptocurrency on behalf of you. When you purchase the coins, the cryptocurrency is transferred directly into the wallet of yours. This reduces the risk of a hacking incident where the funds of the clients would be stolen from the exchange.

They do not have a 2FA security layer, so the password protection is the only gate on the site. Paybis stores offline all client-related information, not on public servers.

Pros and Cons of Paybis

Pros

a lot of different payment method

purchase prices are set for 30 minutes

Trustpilot reviews

Cons

high commissions and fees

some US states are not supported

EUR bank transfers are not supported outside of the European Union

Conclusion

Paybis support buying and selling six different cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Ethereum, Ripple and Neo. They offer a great variety of payment methods, including credit and debit cards, bank wire transfers but they also support gift cards and paying with alternative payment processors, like Skrill and Webmoney. They require verification for cryptocurrency purchases to comply with AML regulations, but they are trying their best to shorten the time needed for verification. The online reviews about Paybis are fairly positive about the company, the only drawback is the higher fees which are really depending on the payment method you choose.

Although it’s best known for underpinning the creation of P2P digital currency (cryptocurrency) as a transfer of value, that is one of the numerous use cases of blockchain technology. Its applications are far-reaching and have been able to bring about a revolution in almost every space.

This alone is an impressive feat; after all, no one — at least not a lot of people — believed that blockchain had the potential to revamp technology (and the world at large). Although blockchain technology (alongside Bitcoin) was created in 2009, it only became front and center of the tech debate in the last couple of years.

Blockchain technology has since gone on to achieve more impressive feats, impacting industries like healthcare, supply chain management, fintech, gaming, content creation, social media, digital rights management among others.

The development of Bitcoin has changed how transactions are conducted around the world. It eliminated the need for a central authority (i.e. banks, credit agencies and payment processors), enabling blockchains to evolve rapidly and achieve increased security, speed and efficiency.

To start with, let’s take a brief look at what the term ‘decentralized’ means in the context of blockchains.

What Is a Decentralized Blockchain?

Decentralization itself is defined as the delegation of the decision-making processes of an organization from a central point to various entities.

When the word “blockchain” comes up in conversation, most people would think of Bitcoin, Ethereum and other decentralized (public) blockchains which grant access to just about anyone willing to participate.

However, centralized blockchains also exist, and they are usually developed by large corporations who want to fully utilize the potential of blockchain technology.

Decentralized blockchains are known as public blockchains, and the centralized ones as private blockchains.

The core difference between decentralized and centralized blockchains lies in what you’re allowed to do. Decentralized blockchains are unable to place restrictions on or elevate the privileges of a particular node(s), excluding malicious or faulty ones. This implies that all nodes on the blockchain network have (no need for) equal permissions and privileges.

On the other hand, centralized blockchain networks are able to select a group of participating nodes on the network who are exclusively authorized to validate blocks of transactions.

Features of Decentralized Blockchains

From a technological point of view, both decentralized and centralized chains share the same core features. The makeup of a decentralized blockchain is not in any way different from a centralized blockchain.

Decentralized blockchains possess some features which give them an advantage over centralized blockchains. Here are a few:

Faster transactions — One of the most amazing things about a decentralized blockchain network is that transactions are conducted much faster. Since the need for a third-party to handle transaction verification is eliminated (due to its decentralized nature), it allows all the nodes present on the network to contribute to the computational power required to process and verify transactions.

The conventional payment methods are rather slow and they usually incur considerable transaction charges. However, a payments system sat atop a decentralized blockchain enables seamless transfer of funds with lesser verification windows. This saves cost and increases the speed at which transactions are processed.

Secure Network — It’s almost impossible to take over a decentralized blockchain network, as long as the diversity (by which I mean the number of unique nodes present on the network) is maintained. On most decentralized blockchains, several thousands of nodes participate in consensus to verify transactions. There’s no central node neither are there nodes with elevated permissions to verify transactions.

To successfully hack into a blockchain network, an attacker must seize control of the greater majority (more than 51 percent) of nodes on the network, at the same time!

A decentralized blockchain is much more difficult because of the sheer number of nodes present on the blockchain. Nowadays, decentralized blockchains are designed to ignore malicious (or faulty) nodes, so they are not allowed to participate in consensus.

This is in fact how the concept of immutability in blockchains work. It is impossible to alter the records in transaction blocks on a decentralized blockchain network after a consensus has been reached (i.e. the block has been verified). This is a major advantage of decentralized blockchains over centralized ones, since there’s node equality.

An understanding of blockchain technology at its very core is a great step to identifying the higher level differences in centralized and decentralized blockchains. Of course, it still remains a question of design and target audience.

A blockchain solution developed for enterprise applications would often be centralized. In contrast, a blockchain network targeting public users should ideally be decentralized. The aim should be to put the user back in the driving seat when it comes to sensitive information (for instance, medical records, personally-identifiable information).

All in all, the average person prefers the concept of decentralization in blockchain because it offers unlimited freedom, as it’s not controlled by a select few.

To them, it is the ‘true’ blockchain.

The role of these cloud mining companies is to enable people to mine virtual currencies without any need for the hardware normally used.

While this seems to be really intriguing, the majority of these companies, unfortunately, end up being scams because, at the end of the day, they do not actually mine virtual currencies.

Instead, they function like Ponzi schemes and depend on new investors in a bid to pay off the older ones. However, we still have mining companies that are reliable and actually mine digital currencies. Although, they are few and difficult to find.

With cloud mining companies, the returns you get on your investment is dependent on so many factors. Therefore, it is not so easy to estimate the amount of money you will be able to make.

Nonetheless, we will be taking a thorough look at one of the cloud mining companies known as Genesis Mining.

What Is Genesis Mining?

The first thing to note is that Genesis Mining is among the oldest surviving mining companies available today.

On a general note, Genesis Mining enables its users to engage in virtual currency mining without the usual hassle of purchasing mining equipment and even going further to maintain it.

Nonetheless, it can be calculated that it is much more profitable to mine digital coins with Genesis since there are other investment options you can invest in.

The company was established in the year 2013 and as mentioned earlier, this makes it rated among the oldest Bitcoin companies still standing today. Also, it is among the well-known companies when it comes down to cloud mining.

Judging from its website, Genesis Mining company serves more than two million users from all over a hundred countries around the world. Its mining farms are situated in locations that are remote yet cool like Sweden and Iceland.

Miners on the Genesis Mining farm have the ability to mine digital coins such as:

Ethereum

Dash

LiteCoin

Monero

Zcash, and;

Bitcoin

There are diverse investment programs for every one of the virtual currencies that are actually capable of mining. Not to forget, what you earn is dependent on the investment program you tend to get.

Genesis Mining

Who Benefits From Genesis Mining?

The Genesis Mining company is structured for the set of people who are seeking to lay their hands on digital coins without going through the process of purchasing the virtual coins or mining it by themselves.

The job of Genesis Mining is to mine the virtual coins while users can join in the ride for a specific amount. Also, payouts are received for all of your investment, although the fees linked with your contract with the company is subtracted.

Virtual coins like Bitcoin have a high value currently and this is why digital coin mining is among the alternatives that so many people want to lay their hands on.

One reason why people are jumping on the cloud mining wagon is because, if mining is carried out personally by users, it will cost a lot of money, efforts, time and you will have to pay for the regular maintenance fee of the hardware you will be using in a bid to keep the virtual coin farm running adequately.

Bear in mind that, Genesis mining company actually does not charge for any pool fees and also, there is no time to wait around. What this means is that mining commences immediately without any delay.

Also, any hashpower you tend to buy is actually yours to keep in life. Note that, there is also a hundred percent guarantee been offered by the company.

Furthermore, no instant of your time for mining is lost because Genesis mining allocates miners to the vital pools and this makes up for any prospective loss in hashpower.

Whenever you are worried, in doubt or practically need assistance with anything, it is interesting to note that, Genesis mining actually invests tremendous efforts in its customer support and the employees respond swiftly.

How People Earn Money With Genesis Mining

As already established, Genesis Mining is a cloud mining company that offers users with the chance of earning virtual currencies. Genesis Mining has diverse investment programs that one can select from.

Bitcoin is the most prominent virtual currency in this company. And so, the lowest investment one can have for this coin is around $285 for a period of five years. With this plan, users will earn about one tera hashes every second (TH/s).

Meanwhile, the costliest plan is worth about $6875 for five years. Here, users will get to earn twenty-five TH/s.

Note that, all these Bitcoin plans have their fee for maintenance and this means that at the end of the day, the gross earning is actually not the payout you will get to receive because maintenance fee will end up being deducted.

Furthermore, Genesis Mining does not actually promise the earnings because it is said to be determined by a total of three factors. The factors include:

The complexity of mining virtual currencies

The value of the United States dollar versus Bitcoin Cryptocurrency, and;

The cost of maintaining all of the equipment being used for mining

Currently, Genesis mining maintenance fee is at $0.14 per TH/s. One thing to note is that investing in Genesis mining is not as profitable as you were told or as you have in mind even if it has to do with Bitcoin.

So, a one TH/s of mining will most likely fall in $6.57 in its profit monthly. Although the value will change so much, it still relies on so many factors. Making a profit will not come so easily or even so fast.

With some comments made by users of the company, Genesis mining company did not have any problem in offering payouts to members.

However, when it got to the second quarter as well as the beginning of the third quarter, the company put a halt in sending payouts.

The Good And Bad Things About Genesis Mining

For some people, all they find quite good about Genesis mining is the fact that it provides users with alternatives when it comes down to virtual currency mining. Users do not need to stick solely with Bitcoin since the company farms other virtual coins.

Also, similar to other cloud mining companies, Genesis mining has some bad things linked with it.

For Genesis Mining, there are so many investors making complaints about not receiving their payouts anymore. And, when they complained to customer support, they did not get any reply.

What this means is that Genesis mining is getting really close to being written off as a scam.

Yet another bad side to Genesis mining is that the company is not so transparent whenever it comes down to calculating all of the revenues that they give plus the fees being charged.

Advantages Of Genesis Mining

As an easy and secure way of purchasing hash power, users will not need to deal with the difficult software and hardware set up. The company specializes in developing highly efficient and dependable rigs for mining and offer it to clients on rent bases.

The only thing you will have to do is to set up an account and begin mining. Nonetheless, even if we have seen the good thing about Genesis mining, it is vital that we take a look at their pros. It includes:

Aids in saving time

It saves users a lot of time as there is no need for them to set up any rig from scratch. All that is needed is to sign up and start trading all at once.

Aids in saving money

When you consider setting up a mining rig, you will find that a huge investment is needed for the hardware used in mining. There is also regular maintenance needed on the rigs.

However, all this cost money but with Genesis mining, the rig is already installed. Hence, the cost is eliminated.

Flexibility and liberty

All of this liberty lies in the user’s capability to trade between diverse currencies and coins in a bid to gain profit from them. Hash power can easily be allocated to diverse currencies with the Genesis mining software.

Also, the users can feel secure with the fact that their income will continually flow from diverse streams.

The Genesis Mining robot is simple and convenient

With their cloud mining app, online mining does not entail all of the loud noise plus heat in developing a mine. Moreover, stress and maintenance issues are totally eliminated.

A contract for a lifetime

The concept behind Genesis mining is that it is a contract for a lifetime and this makes it a highly lucrative business that has its prices and values increasing daily. With one investment, you are capable of earning profits all your life.

Can It Be Recommended To New Users?

With this thorough review of all that Genesis mining can offer, some people claim that they cannot completely recommend Genesis mining as a means to earn virtual currencies.

Also, with the current complaints about the company, there are doubts and worries about its legitimacy and with this, it can be said to be best to avoid investing in them. Though, there are people with opinions that differ.

The fact remains that, if the virtual coins go up, users get to earn money and when it goes down, money is lost when you simply purchase a virtual coin and depend on its market value for all of your profit.

In Genesis mining, your contract must actually be profitable. In a bid to keep on earning from the Genesis mining contract, it must be capable of covering all costs of maintenance.

With considerations on the complexity in mining increasing continuously as time flies, all of this may as well be a very long shot. To break even, it may likely take more than a full year.

Also, even with an increase in the price of virtual currencies, it is still not going to be a guarantee that users will be able to make good money because the complexity increase as so many people begin to mine.

Genesis mining, Marco CEO

Is Genesis Mining A Scam?

Like we stated earlier, there are people with differing opinions. Now, people believe that the cloud mining company is not a scam and neither is it a Ponzi scheme. There are claims that it is legal.

Basically, cloud mining companies have so many negative comments around them due to the face that most of the companies were known to be scams.

What these companies did was to promise both heaven and earth to its users and at the end of the day, fail to deliver. However, this does not rule out the fact that Genesis Mining does not have unhappy customers.

At the end of the day, even if the company is actually legit, it is sometimes stated that it is not a good investment.

To Wrap It Up

Although this article has covered most of the vital parts of Genesis mining, the big question still hovering on the minds of people pertains to if the company can be trusted. Well, the response is yes.

It has been said that it is not a scam but it is not so profitable like you may want it to turn out to be. While it is quite transparent, its profitability is, however, reliant on diverse factors.

The system of Genesis has been successfully set in a type of way in which, even if the payout turns out to be zero, your contract still continues to mine for about sixty days. Although, it gets to stop if the profits do not resume again.

Moreover, if your contract does not turn out to be profitable after all this period, the contract will be terminated in a bid to save up on maintenance costs.

Although PayPal has been highly favourable of Bitcoin over the past few years, it is still a problem finding genuine and credible places to purchase Bitcoin using PayPal in 2019.

People are wondering why PayPal will not allow this, and the answer is quite simple; diverse chargeback issues have been developed by scammers who purchase Bitcoin with PayPal from a particular individual, and then they later claim they never received anything at all.

With this, the hackers get to keep both their cash and their Bitcoin while the individual in question loses out. However, this article will help users and enthusiasts alike to overcome such issues with the under listed methods.

Purchasing Bitcoin With PayPal Via LocalBitcoins

Differing from eToro, LocalBitcoins is actually a marketplace where traders and buyers link up directly with each other. Simply put, when users make use of LocalBitcoins, they are basically dealing with a real person.

This simply implies that the credibility of the seller should be cautiously observed. Also, for the fees, sellers will normally charge a premium because they are taking a huge risk of buyers going to chargeback.

However, you rest assured of getting your Bitcoin crypto much faster. Meanwhile, the pros of LocalBitcoin includes the fact that there is a huge variety of sellers from all over the globe.

In order to make use of LocalBitcoins, there are some major steps involved, which include:

Entering your search parameters.

This entails you going to LocalBitcoins and inputting the number of bitcoins you want to purchase and which of the countries. However, there is no global search for LocalBitcoin.

It simply means you will not be able to see all the sellers that are more than willing to trade globally and also approve PayPal in a distinct search.

Select your seller

There is a list of available seers, and all you need to do is to browse each and every one of them, one at a time. A quick tip on what to check before putting your trust in a seller includes:

Their feedback score

Number of confirmed trades they have

Number of people that trust the seller

Number of people that blocked the seller

How old the seller’s account is

Nevertheless, there is no actual measurement, in particular, to determine who a real seller is and common sense is needed at the end of the day after reviewing their details.

Round up the trade

You find your seller, and you will be taken off to the trade screen. From there you can view information about trade limits of users, payment window and location

The payment window is the time allocated to you to send the funds and mark the payment as complete.

Purchasing Bitcoin With PayPal Via Wirex

On a general note, Wirex is a company that deals with supplying digital and physical Bitcoin debit cards. Due to the fact that it is similar to all other debit cards, you can make use of your Wirex card with your PayPal account.

Meanwhile, since PayPal is a third party payment and not a partner of Wirex, they will not be able to make sure your transaction is successful. They will be unable to help you should there be a failed transaction.

In order to make use of Wirex, there are guides involved, and it includes:

You will have to go to Wirex and click on the request new card button and from there, select the card type you need. It is highly possible to purchase Bitcoin with PayPal with both digital and physical cards.

Link the debit card to your PayPal account in order to validate it

To do this linking, from your PayPal account, you will need to click on the wallet and from there click on add a card. Immediately the card is added, it is vital to verify it. Verifying the card entails having a minimum of $3 so that PayPal can charge you.

When PayPal charges you, you will get to see a four-digit code close to the transaction on your Wirex account. Basically, the four-digit code is your verification pin for the card on PayPal. Next stop is to deposit your funds on your PayPal account.

Also, in order to withdraw funds from your PayPal account to your account with Wirex, all that is needed is for you to click on the wallet and click on withdraw funds. Next is to select the withdraw funds to your card button.

Ensure that you have your Wirex card. However, this withdrawal can take up to about seven days to show up in your account with Wirex.

If you need more help with setting up Wirex account, please read our post “What is Wirex? – Wallet App & Crypto Debit Card Review“.

Purchasing Bitcoin With PayPal Via Paxful

Paxful is the lesser-known and smaller version of LocalBitcoins. It is a person to person marketplace that will enable you to purchase Bitcoin with practically anything ranging from Skype credits and down to Amazon gift cards.

Buying bitcoins with Paxful is actually easy, and it involves:

Creating a Paxful account

Selecting a payment method for purchasing and the needed amount

Select a seller. This can be done manually, or you can allow Paxful to decide the best seller for you.

Immediately your trade is initiated, you will be sent swiftly to an online chat with the selected seller in order for you to finalize the deal.

The Bitcoin of the seller will be transferred into escrow, and immediately you mark that you have sent your part of the payment, it will be released rapidly into your account. There is a particular time frame to finalize all deals else they will be swiftly cancelled.

Final Thoughts

If you desire to purchase Bitcoin with PayPal, then this article will be a guide to help you successfully get it done. Meanwhile, there is actually no straight-up way to purchase Bitcoin with PayPal because Bitcoin transactions cannot be reversed.

However, there are specific indirect methods which are utilized by users all around the world to buy bitcoins with PayPal money.

The digital assets market, however, tends to fluctuate steeply from minute to minute, making the realm of cryptographic assets fertile ground for speculative investors and market manipulators looking to take advantage of the volatility of virtual currencies.

As a result of the crypto market’s volatility, digital assets pegged to safe-haven assets (Gold, Silver etc.) or fiat currencies have proliferated the scene in recent times. These so-called stablecoins offer investors a short to a midterm unit of account that maintains a more stable value. Stablecoins are set up to hold value independently of traded markets, and therefore offer a way for traders to weather market turbulence.

Cryptocurrencies, in their current volatile state, miss the mark in terms of the purpose for which they were designed. The deflationary nature of crypto assets don’t incentives their use as a medium of exchange and, as a result, have become increasingly used as speculative tools. This has become the cryptocurrency market’s Achilles’ heel in the bid for mainstream adoption.

“Any application which requires a low threshold of volatility to be viable on a blockchain, consumer loans for example, simply cannot be denominated in a currency which fluctuates 10–20 percent in a day, like Bitcoin and Ether.” Gregory DiPrisco – MarkerDAO

The Future of Stablecoins

“The next wave of the crypto market will be driven by real-world value and real-world use cases,” stated Tory Reiss, co-founder and head of partnerships at stablecoin TrustToken, in a conversation with Inverse.

“This is the true excitement that traders are feeling around stablecoins in 2018: the promise of trillions of dollars of value being easily accessed and traded by anyone with a smartphone, anywhere in the world”.- Reiss

According to the cryptocurrency exchange, Binance’s research arm, stablecoins will increasingly be used as quote currencies for crypto-assets and may grow to overtake Bitcoin as the leading quote currency. Despite currently having low trading volumes and market capitalization, stablecoins have overtaken Bitcoin and Ethereum trading pairs and now represent about 60% of all trading volume (a significant jump from the 35% they represented a year ago.

Controversial Tether controls the majority of stablecoin trading volume while exchange coins are also experiencing an uptick in user patronage. The Winklevoss twin’s Gemini Dollar gave up “nearly half of its market capitalization in the first four months of 2019” but that does not necessarily give us a clear picture of the whole industry, as Coinbase’s USDC stablecoin has seen the largest gains with regard to circulation.
Stablecoin issuers have also begun to diversify into other fiat currencies.

Binance has announced plans to release a stablecoin pegged to the British Pound (GBP) aiming to offer an alternative to TustToken and eToro’s sterling backed crypto assets. This is an indicator that stablecoins fill an important gap with the digital assets space and may continue to be relevant for as long as regular digital currencies’ prices remain volatile.

Columnists from the likes of Forbes, CNBC and Bloomberg reporting on and giving opinions about the decentralised “future of money”, as some may have called it.

As the cryptocurrency space has developed over the years, attracting the attention of adopters, it was only natural (and somewhat necessary) that media giants would take notice.

In order to achieve the proponents’ goal of cryptocurrency mass adoption, the masses have to know they’re there.
With Bitcoin springing to mind first, the current goings-on may have a slightly bitter-sweet tinge about them.

When the mystery that is Satoshi Nakamoto created Bitcoin, it was intended to serve the very same purpose as that of fiat currencies. The main difference being the notable lack of a central authority.

FOMO Kicked The Doors Down

However, the road to adoption has set the mother cryptocurrency on a slightly different course. Bitcoin’s early adopters can savour the sweet taste of major investment banking FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) on one hand. While on the other, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies have not seen much usage as a means of making payments.

Thus far, most likely due to FOMO, the leading cryptocurrency by market cap has become an asset for speculative investing. Today, the media focusses almost exclusively on the subject of price movements, possible ETFs and regulatory activities.

Interestingly, reports of AT&T AND Air BNB accepting cryptocurrency payments don’t seem to have done much in the way of persuading holders to exchange their digital gold for goods or services.

According to Bloomberg, the first trimester of 2019 saw merchants making up only 1.3% of Bitcoin’s transactions. A clear indication of how, early Investors and newcomers alike, view BTC as an investment rather than a medium of exchange.

“few speculators want to use the digital coins to pay for wireless services when the digital asset’s price might surge another 50% a matter of weeks.” As per Bloomberg.

The profit-oriented thinking is very understandable when instances like, the now celebrated, Bitcoin pizza day are taken into account. The 10 000 BTC spent by Laszlo Hanyecz, on two pizza’s, in 2010 would equate to roughly $ 800 million USD at today’s rate.

Even those who aren’t so bullish on Bitcoin have come to see its usefulness in the realm of speculative investing. According to. Bleakley Financial Group’s Chief Investment Officer, Peter Boockvar, the most capitalised cryptocurrency has become a sort of safe haven investment during these uncertain times.

Boockvar, who mostly favours traditional safe havens like gold noted.
“Over the last couple weeks, we’ve seen this sharp rise in bitcoin, and to me, that was saying something in terms of what markets were thinking about what the Fed was going to do [and about] the turmoil created by the threatened tariffs. ” -Boockvar, as reported by CNBC.

This was not without the preceding “I watch bitcoin as a signal, as an indicator, not because I want to own it,”

The Blame Game

It would be decidedly hard to let go of your hard earned dollars if you were told, repeatedly, they would be worth a lot more tomorrow.
However, this does not mean that the commerce related developmental direction taken by Bitcoin and other digital assets, can solely be blamed on the way past developments were reported.

The old Wall Street adage that goes “the market is driven by just two emotions: fear and greed.”, speaks the truth of cryptocurrency markets as well. Bitcoin’s own design, particularly its scarcity.

Then add to this the already known issues like transaction times and the whale phenomenon (deep down we all wish we were one of them), it then becomes clear how some of Bitcoin’s own features have proven to be its Achilles heel. That is so far as being a medium of exchange is concerned.

With fear and greed in mind, it’s almost safe to assume that this new asset class was set in this direction the day, the now defunct, Bitcoinmarket.com set up shop in March of 2010.

This has brought to the forefront a new type of application which does not confine in its ownership and cannot be shut down, along with zero downtime.

These are called Decentralized Applications, or DApps. There are more than 2432 Decentralised Apps in circulation, although their mass adoption is not yet up to expected levels.

How does a DApp work?

These DApps are built on blockchain development, which is a globally distributed ledger. This gives DApps their decentralized structure and does not control their ownership – something similar to what Bitcoin did to money.

In all its essence, a DApp is nothing but an open-source software platform that implements decentralized blockchains fueled with tokens made using algorithms.

Which Blockchain is suited for DApps?

Ethereum DApps are extremely popular, with developers running them on the Ethereum platform. Ethereum DApps are based on coded smart contracts which in turn act as the blueprint for the DApp.

Bitcoin in itself is considered by some to be the ultimate example of a DApp, while others see it as a possible means to an end. With Ethereum DApps, developers need not create separate blockchains, which saves them time and effort with more thinking of being put into the functionality of the DApp. Ethereum DApps use Solidity as a language to come up with smart contracts that prevent unauthorized access and other security concerns.

With Ethereum DApps being tested frequently and EOS DApps being adopted quite frequently, it is a race to see which one wins in the end. There are a number of DApps already in existence, proving that DApps are indeed the future.

Like Ethereum Name service, they allow users to convert their wallet address into a unique domain name while decentralized exchanges like Kyber Network help in connecting to a widely distributed ecosystem.

Another significant DApp is MakerDAO with its Collateralized Debt Position providing users with the option to take a loan in exchange for Ethereum as collateral.

Another example is Storj.io – an Ethereum DApp that serves storage purposes. It allows users to rent storage capacity by connecting them to others who have the same in excess for a fraction of their Dropbox and brokering a peer-to-peer exchange with payment in Storjcoins.

Even the Bitcoin protocol can be used to draw up smart contracts and come up with Bitcoin DApps, as proven by Particl.io, which is a blockchain-based eCommerce platform. It comes with a perfect blend of exceptional contract functionality while bypassing the privacy and security risks of Ethereum and similar platforms, making Bitcoin DApps quite possible in the near future. The MAD escrow technique is used for anti-fraud purposes

These Ethereum and Bitcoin DApps essentially increase in value when that of the cryptocurrency goes up, which occurs when users exchange more tokens.

Go Decentralized – Protect Your Information

It is no wonder that people are increasingly fond of the idea of decentralized apps, especially in a world where most applications like Google, Uber or Facebook own, and at times even give out, user information without much thought. In such a world, protecting your information while sharing your resources and being paid for it (or paying a lower price) is an appealing idea.

With decentralization bringing in a lot of fans, it remains to be seen what the future holds. Even though the number of DApps is increasing at a rapid rate, it remains to be seen if these DApps see a quick surge in usage or whether they fall into the hands of a few.

There are not many cloud wallets that support Doge, so this is one of the main advantages of Block.io and one of the main reasons I started using it in the first place.

For me, Block.io is one of the easiest and most secure web Bitcoin Wallet that exists. They follow two signature authentications to store addresses. To store address Block.io signature and user’s signature is required. They also support green addresses, meaning that you don’t need to wait to use your coins when you deposit, it’s instantly available.

One of the negative aspects is that private keys for the wallet are stored by Block.io meaning users lose some control over their funds. However, Block.io apply strong security measures by encrypting private keys with 256-bit AES cipher.

Wallets do have multi-signature functionality and users can also enable two-factor authentication for an extra layer of security. Withdrawals require at least two signatures with one being the user and the other being Block.io themselves. Users can enable up to four signatures for their side for a total of five signatures required.

Block.io charges no additional fees for transactions. Any fees charge represents solely the network fees for Bitcoin, Litecoin, or Doge.

How To Create Block.io Wallet?

To create your wallet simply go to block.io and click SIGN UP.

On the first registration, step enter your email and password.

Block.io Network Fees

For Dogecoin Transaction(s) – 1 DOGE
For Bitcoin Transaction(s) – 0.00002 BTC
For Litecoin Transaction(s) – 0.001 LTC

These Fees Depends on Size of your Transaction in Bytes.

Note: There are three ways to withdraw Slow, Normal and Fast. Each one has a fee Higher than one before. Normal is recommended By Block.io, but You can select which one You want.

Block.io Security

Block.io uses the mechanism of MultiSig wallet and any transaction needs to be signed by more than one key: one controlled by Block.io and the other by you (your secret PIN). This, more or less, means that you have control over your funds, or at least that the site gets compromised any time, your funds will stay safe.

Block.io API for Developers

Block.io is relatively easy to use and is designed for use by both the end users (clients) and developers. It, therefore, comes with a ready-to-use API to assist developers in integrating the wallet and its features with their applications.

With their API, you can create wallet addresses instantly, check their balances, and withdraw coins from them whenever you want. It really makes life easier for developers that want to integrate blockchain transactions with their apps. At the moment developers’ libraries are available in languages Ruby, NodeJS, PHP, and Python.

How CoinPot Microwallet Works?

The first step that you need to do is to register to CoinPot . Once you register to their site, you can use your email connected with you Coinpot account to receive instant payments from high-paying faucets partners.

CoinPot Faucets List

Each of faucets list has similar payout systems like 25-50% referral commissions for bringing people into the system and getting them paid out into your coin wallet. You can sign in to each faucet using the email that you used for Coinpot registration. The faucet is designed to pay you out when you actually claim your money.

Below you can find CoinPot faucets list.

Like, mention before CoinPot wallet supports multiple cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Dogecoin (DOGE), Dash (DASH), Litecoin (LTC) and has released even its own tokens CoinPot, which accumulate in the wallet with collecting funds from CoinPot Faucets List.

How can I get CoinPot Tokens?

There are several ways that you can get CoinPot Tokens.

Faucets – For each individual faucet claim, you will earn 3 CoinPot Tokens, and for each claim made by any of your referrals, you will earn 1 CoinPot Token.

Mining – There is an option to mine CoinPot Tokens and other coins directly in your browse. I highly don’t recommend this, because it will slow down your machine because it using computing power.

Exchange – You can use the exchange system to convert from your other coins to CoinPot Tokens.

How to do Exchange or Withdraw Bitcoin or other altcoins with CoinPot?

Once you collected a certain amount tokens from faucets lists, you can do exchanges or make a withdrawal. What I usually do is that I convert all collected cryptocurrencies to one desired cryptocurrency and make withdrawal afterwards.

For example, if you want to convert Bitcoin Cash to Litecoin, simply click on “View bitcoin cash summary” link – a new Coin Summary page will open up. For each token, you’ll find three options:

Deposit – you can deposit selected tokens to your account. For each cryptocurrency, there is a minimum deposit – lesser amounts will NOT be credited to your account.

Convert/Exchange – there is no conversation fee and it is done instantly.

Withdraw – once you have enough altcoins you can withdraw them to your wallet. Your withdrawal request must be confirmed by clicking on the confirmation email link. For each cryptocurrency, there is a minimum withdrawal amount. The withdrawal process can take a little longer, but you’ll get paid directly to your wallet within 48 hours.

CoinPot Microwallet Conclusion

If you’re looking for a high-risk investment platform, then CoinPot is not it.

Instead, a CoinPot is a great starting point for everyone that wants to start collecting Bitcoin or altcoins for free. Prior to writing this article we were testing CoinPot for several years. We wanted to make sure the site is legit and that the withdrawal process is working.

Is it worth it – for me personally definitely no – because it is very time-consuming and besides that all faucets sites are spammy – you’ll not earn a lot.

Happy mining by BizzNerd Team.
