Critics gave Modern Warfare 2 mainly positive reviews. Being the fastest Call of Duty game to earn $1 billion in sales, it was a commercial triumph and set multiple milestones for the series. So, is it really that good?

The premise of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

The game takes place in a realistic, contemporary environment, just like its predecessor. In order to find terrorist Hassan Zyani who is in possession of American-made ballistic missiles, Task Force 141 and Mexican Special Forces unit Los Vaqueros are being followed in the campaign.

Maps

Regarding the 6v6 maps, the sheer number of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 maps we have at rotation is actually quite impressive. The 2019 launch had significantly fewer, which is an essential factor that players insist on. Out of 10 maps that we had at launch, only one stood out as being really terrible and that is the border crossing map. However, the other nine aren’t all sunshine and rainbows, but every game has some that are simply not that bad. Overall, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has a nice variety when it comes to layouts, settings, and color pallets.

Also, another nice thing about the maps, which was present in the 2019 version as well, is that you can jump on almost anything. It makes the game feel fluid and satisfying. Not to mention, it adds to the tactical part of the game since you can use this ability to outsmart your enemies.

Guns inside Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Another great part about this game is the guns. They feel and sound amazing. Some of the movement at times can feel a bit clunky and there’s an abundance of visual recoil. If we weren’t to nitpick, overall – the gunplay is pretty solid.

Another great thing regarding guns is that the balance is amazing for a COD launch. Of course, there is room for improvement but we believe that this is more than acceptable considering the game came out just recently.

Gameplay improvements

If you’re someone that likes to move around and be aggressive, we have some good news for you. The footsteps in this installation are a lot better than they used to be. Now, you can move around freely without worrying about an enemy hearing you from an ungodly distance.

Also, another great thing that they have added is swimming. If you’re underwater, you can only use pistols but full autos will be available to you once you’re on the surface. We are glad they didn’t go overboard with this option.

Missing features

Sadly, this game has a lot of missing features that we won’t see at all or they will come only in the later parts.

For example, the hardcore game modes won’t be with us until the release of the first season. There are no barracks with combat records and challenge lists, after-action reports, double XP countdown, camo pop-ups, weapon tuning, detailed weapon stats, and many more.

Closing thoughts

Even with all of the issues that are currently present, we are sure you will be able to have fun! There are still a lot of things that need fixing. It does feel like the developers pushed its launch too early and the game ended up feeling like it’s not quite finished. However, as everything’s fixed and we get a lot more features, this could be a really good COD game. So, we suggest you hold on to your money for now and jump on the bandwagon once the game is complete.

It seems to have become a Blizzard’s tradition to ruin all of its creations. The promised story mode has been delayed till 2023. A lot of old and new features have been bugged out. Along with that, there have been problems with the servers and account transfers. Here’s everything we know.

New things brought to the new game

If you’re a seasoned player, the following significant gameplay changes in Overwatch 2 can be confusing to you:

• Up to 30% of your Ultimate charge is refunded if you switch to another Hero in the middle of a game.
• Instead of decreasing each hit by five damage as it did in the past, armor (seen as orange parts of a character’s health bar) now reduces instances of damage taken by 30%. All damage sources are equally affected by this damage reduction effect.
• Temporary Health, which is displayed on a player’s health bar as a bright green tint, has replaced Temporary Shields and Temporary Armor. Heroic abilities now offer Temporary Health rather than Temporary Armor or Shields, such as Lucio’s Sound Barrier Ultimate, Junker Queen’s Commanding Shout Ability, and Doomfist’s The Best Defense Passive. Players will receive an Ultimate Ability charge at half the normal pace if they damage adversaries with Temporary Health.
• To maintain all of their Hero unlocks and stats, returning players need to also make sure that Overwatch 2 cross-progression and account merging are turned on.

The reality of Overwatch 2

Let’s face it: Overwatch 2 had a terrible debut. When the servers went live on Tuesday, Overwatch 2 was plagued by two problems at once: a cyberattack and extremely long login queues due to high player interest.

The corporation was battling with Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks, according to a tweet from Blizzard Entertainment President Mike Ybarra. The servers were no longer being disrupted after Tuesday’s launch. In gaming, “server difficulties” and “launch day” invariably go hand in hand, thus many players were prepared for delays and disruptions.

Bugged heroes

If you haven’t noticed any technical difficulties, it’s possible that you’ve encountered a different kind of problem. For example, a bug that caused Bastion to spread chaos around itself. It has been noted that Bastion’s ultimate attack can be extended if the player clicks multiple times in a row, with the right timing. The attack was becoming so devastating that Blizzard decided to remove Bastion from all mods. Of course – only temporarily until they solve that problem.

Another hero followed Bastion’s path – Torbjorn. It has been noted that his Overloaded skill can be used twice in a row. As a result, he was temporarily pulled from the roster as well. However, Torbjorn is still available in the Quick Play mode of the game – he only disappeared in the Ranked mode.

Blizzard and classism

The use of Blizzard’s SMS Protect function, which necessitates a mobile phone number to prevent cheaters and deter hackers from taking control of player accounts, was another problem that plagued the debut of Overwatch 2. Due to the SMS Protect protocol, users with prepaid cellular accounts cannot utilize those mobile numbers. A Blizzard spokesperson said that the company is “actively engaging with some service providers to explore if we can expand the program to cover more users while still protecting our players and game security.”

Blizzard announced late Wednesday that an update they will release on Friday would modify SMS Protect. Everyone who has logged into Overwatch after June 2021 can play without the need for a phone number. However, those who haven’t will have to use it to get their accounts. Blizzard has also been rolling out updates to reduce long login lines and unstable online performance. Additionally, users have complained about missing items and other data; according to Blizzard, half of these problems are the result of individuals failing to merge their accounts. For the rest, Blizzard has said that they haven’t erased or destroyed any data. They are also working to recover any goods that had gone missing.

So far, everything about Overwatch 2 has been a disaster. If the launch wasn’t this rushed maybe this could have turned out to be a decent game. But, right now it’s just not worth playing.

Stray – Main Premise

Stray will take you on a post-apocalyptic journey, an adventure where one moment you are playing with your cat family, and sooner than you know it, you will be in a dark street whose gloom is only broken by the occasional neon advertisement. Alone and lost in that unfamiliar environment, you try to find your way to your family.

The gameplay

Our nameless hero is a very ordinary cat, but that’s what makes him a very interesting choice for the protagonist. You don’t have any special abilities other than running, jumping, and meowing. However, the meowing ability is really interesting. It has its own dedicated button and when you press it – the environment reacts to your meow. Sometimes it’s just a casual glance from a harmless passerby, while in certain situations the meow results in alarming all possible enemies around you.

Jumping is a bit clumsily because you can only jump to a certain place and that is when the jump button appears on the screen. So, you can’t really jump at whatever you want, even when it seems you should be able to. That being said, the struggle with camera alignment during jumps can be a little irritating, especially when you’re running away from enemies. Fortunately, the controls can be completely customized

Another problem with the jump is the animation. Sometimes it won’t seem as fluid as it should be. That is quite contradictory considering how well the entire game feels and looks.

Things that made Stray feel special

It is no secret that people love Stray and that is for a good reason! The game has added a lot of interesting details that make the game feel different. For example, you can sharpen your claws on carpets, walls, or doors! If you’re feeling a little more naughty you’ll be delighted to know that you can push and knock down almost anything in your path. As with any real cat, sleep is an integral part of life and Stray offers an achievement if you sleep enough during your gameplay!

Characters in the game

Stray is full of distinctive characters, from those more important to the main story to those completely secondary. The characters are robots, but they think, dress, speak and act like humans. Therefore, you will be able to find them slacking off at work due to a hangover, drinking in a nightclub, or knitting sweaters for other robots. You can expect good dialogue and wacky jokes, from those related to quests to those that you might not notice if you don’t explore the environment well.

You’re probably wondering how can an ordinary cat communicates with robots. This is where our protagonist’s sidekick, a tiny drone named B-12, enters the scene. While not hiding in the mitten on the cat’s back, B-12 will translate what other characters are saying, illuminate dark areas, or serve as a backpack. B-12 stands side by side with our cat and is almost as important in this story. One would not succeed without the other, but together they become something more than the heroes of this story.

The hidden story of Stray

In addition to the main premise, which is the return of a cat to its family, Stray also tells the story of the disappearance of humanity through the collection of memory fragments in the environment itself.

In the open areas of the city, you can explore, collect certain things, talk to other characters, etc. There, the emphasis is on vertical movement. Linear areas where you solve not-so-difficult puzzles or run away from enemies are more action-focused than casual sightseeing.

The graphics

As for the appearance itself, Stray looks wonderful. The level of detail that gives this world a note of uniqueness and charisma is visible at almost every step. The stunning design of narrow dark alleys and the colorful neon lights that flow through the smog are just some of the things that make Stray recognizable and special. The attention paid to the visual and character details of the characters is noticeable everywhere you turn.

Closing thoughts

This little kitty should entertain you for about 6 to 10 hours, it all depends on how thoroughly you dedicate yourself to exploring the world around you and how interested you are in collecting various things. This is a relatively short game, which in this case is a good thing: the developers didn’t draw out the story unnecessarily, nor cluttered it with boring or tedious content.

There are two titles in the genre, Splatoon, and Spellbreak, which are so different from any other game that they deserve special mention. More than a special mention, they ought to be put against one another to see which is best.

They stand out so starkly from everything else, in terms of concept, that the games are unique, and not much else out there can even come close enough to compete. Splatoon is a lighthearted tale about underwater creatures, squids and octopuses, who battle it out in cartoon-like environments, for control of the turf. Spell break, on the other hand, is a battle royale title in the traditional sense, but does away with guns and grenades and replaces weapons with magic.

Both titles offer unique takes on the traditional battle royale shooter, which gives them their unique appeal. Here is a more detailed look at each.

Splatoon

Developed and owned by Nintendo, Splatoon is a third-person shooter title that first saw release in 2015, for the Nintendo Wii U gaming console. The gaming series – which has seen two releases, with a third scheduled for release in 2022 – features anthropomorphic cephalopods or squids and octopuses with the ability to turn into humans.

Said cephalopods can – as cephalopods – swim away from brightly coloured ink clouds, or hide in them, as the situation calls. They can also – at will – morph into humanoid form, which allows them to hold guns that fire differently coloured ink.

Though the game has a storyline, it is mainly focused on its online multiplayer offering, which spawned an export tournament circuit. Its matches are quite compact, having 8 players split into teams of 4 for a match to begin.

The Turf Wars are won by the team that covers the most turf in their team’s ink. Players have the option of using an ink bomb, or primary weapon to accomplish this end. The title is brightly coloured, and designed to look more fun than other games in the genre, which focus heavily on graphical presentation.

Spellbreak

Spellbreak is more battle royale-based than Splatoon and spans more platforms than the Nintendo exclusive. This title is available on PC, PS4, Nintendo Switch, as well as Xbox One.

This game is basically with guns and mechanical weapons and, instead, has experimented with elemental magic to battle it out for the title of top battlemage. One can choose between one of six elemental types – Fire, Wind, Earth, Ice, Poison or Lightning.

Bog titles are engaging enough and offer, simple enough, gameplay to easily master in no time at all. Which one a gamer ought to pick depends on the available console, and desired depth of engagement.

Splatoon is light enough for simple, casual play, offering a fun twist to weapon weapons-based which can be enjoyed by a family, or among friends. Spellbreak is a more serious title, which may require as much focus as any other battle royale title. The mixing of magical elements to form unique attacks and having more opponents to contend with makes for more serious gaming sessions.

Ultimately, it all depends on one’s goals. Splatoon for lighthearted, simple gaming, Spellbreak for more serious, engaged play sessions.

For many, this move may seem very natural IO Interactive, however, successfully porting games to VR can prove very tricky – forcing developers to cut corners on some aspects of the game. This is exacerbated by the inferior resolution of the PSVR’s display – when compared to the competition, and tracking issues with the Dualshock 4 controller.

Getting Into Hitman 3 VR

Bearing in mind that Hitman 3 VR is an older game that was remastered and then ported to PSVR, it is quite understandable that compromising would have to happen. In this regard, what IO interactive has given us in the VR adaptation of Hitman 3 has a bitter-sweet effect on the senses.

The Dubai map is one example of this. As prestinely designed as it is, the lack of reflections -when played in VR – does drain some of the “wow” effect that is synonymous with Hitman maps, beyond that, it takes nothing away from the gameplay. One other effect of corner cutting are the crowds that suddenly appear, and happen mostly when you enter a room hastily on make that have large numbers of NPC’s.

That said, Where Himan 3 shines, it shines to the point where it will blind to all the other flaws. By this, I mean the maps themselves – this is one point where IO Interactive has always put its best don’t forward, since the very beginning of the Hitman series.

The level of immersion experienced when playing Hitman 3 in VR is quite outstanding, even with limitations on the graphics and controls. This is mostly due to how much attention to detail went into the designing of each of these levels, it is truly extraordinary. From the walkways in Chonqing, China – that let peek into peoples homes, to the very realistic atmosphere of entering an underground nightclub in Germany – where the sound of music and party goers gets louder the deeper in you go. IO clearly put a lot of labor into making it feel very real.

As for the control scene, this is where Hitman 3 VR seems to have missed the mark. IO Interactive made some baffling choices when it came to the control options they chose. Rather simplicity of Resident Evil 7style controls, or going “the whole nine yards” with the twin move controllers – they opted for a mixed set of controls that doesn’t do the game any justice.

This strange control setup means that general movements are controlled by the standard set on the controller, while the aggressive actions performed by agent 47’s right arm is engaged by using the DualShock 4’s light bar. Some of these issues may become especially annoying when in a high intensity situation.

Closing Notes

Overall, the level of immersion makes it easier to forget the shortcomings of Hitman 3 VR, making it a VR title that you’ll spend more time playing than getting annoyed with. Hopefully, in due time we may see the trilogy being released in full for other more up to date VR headsets.

No Man’s Sky, developed by Hello Games (backed by Sony on the promotional and publishing font,) first saw public release in 2016, with critics heaping praise on the interactive work’s technical brilliance – in the game’s 18 quintillion procedurally generated environments – while others decrying the system as monotonous, and predictable.

Available on PlayStation 4 and 5, Windows PC, and Xbox series X and S – as well as VR – the game is an action-adventure/ survival based game that will keep players busy with surviving, exploring, combating, and trading their way through an overwhelmingly vast universe – in first, or third-person perspective.

Gameplay

The universe is one’s oyster, as a user takes control of a customisable character, referred to – throughout the game – as Traveler, who is a humanoid in a spacesuit one ought to pay attention to upgrading. The Traveler’s Odyssey through uncharted space begins at the screen of a crash site at the edge of the galaxy, that is where one is equipped with a spacesuit, jetpack, and, super-useful multitool (all the better to scan, collect, mine resources, as well as kill one’s enemies with, my dear.)

The Traveller also has a Spacecraft that he can climb in, and out of, repair, and must refuel in order to get to all the various destinations within the game. It certainly seems central – in some obscure way – to the overall arch of the No Man’s Sky narrative.

No Man’s Sky On VR

No Man’s Sky delivers incredible graphics, and visuals on any screen, console, or PC, but the immersive experience of Virtual Reality is where this bugger really comes alive. While other headsets render the game’s graphics with high resolution graphics, the gameplay has been reported to suffer from Immersion Sickness inducing choppiness. PlayStation VR, on the other hand, seems to offer the smoothest experience, though the graphics are a tad grainier – while the Valve Index is said to offer the best of both.

The No Man’s Sky: Beyond VR patch, for Xbox, PlayStation VR, and PC (released 2019) made it possible for fans of the game to immerse themselves in the No Man’s Sky universe and experience it in a whole new way. The VR experience of the game gives one a full sense of just how immense a 18 quintillion procedurally rendered galaxy truly is. Just the scale of objects, from standing next to a spacecraft, to facing-off with a giant creature on a planet one has just landed on, to the sphere size of some of the rocks one sets foot on while playing this game, everything is just so amazingly almost-real.

The game offers a variety of movement options. Allowing one to, either walk around as normal, or zip about VR style – if one has the stomach for it. The Hello Games team clearly paid a lot of attention to detail, as the game controls very intuitively, though controls are very different to the screen version of the game. Sitting in your spacecraft’s cockpit, flying through space, or fending off marauders is where the VR experience of No Man’s Sky really shines, however.

The VR No Man’s Sky has the makings of a cult classic that informs the evolutionary direction of VR gaming. As the patch simply renders an, already, expansive title for VR gameplay. Future VR titles could become longer, and more elaborate. It certainly sets some standard, in terms of the intuitiveness of controls.

On May 14th, 2020, fans of the cult classic trilogy of sci-fi gaming title, Mass Effect will get to relive the action and suspense first brought to them by Bioware over  thirteen years ago. The company, in collaboration with Abstraction Games, is hard at work, getting the compilation ready for players to – once again – don the N7 uniform as the iconic Commander Shepherd, in his/her mission to protect the galaxy from the Reapers. Only this time, in updated resolution, and a higher rate of frames per second. 

Mass Effect, is a single player, sci-fi action, roleplay first-person/third person shooter, based in a fictitious, 22nd century, Milky Way galaxy – where the human race is well, and truly, aware that they are not alone in the universe. The Mass Effect Legendary Edition is based the first three titles in the Mass Effect series, which follow the exploits of a – fully customizable (down to sex, and ovarall appearance.) – Commander Shepard, who gains command of a space frigate, following his discovery of a plot that could bring about the annihilation of every intelligent species in the galaxy.

The clock ticks against Shepard as he must unite the galaxy against the impending threat- which nobody believes in, despite the evidence – of Reaper (an advanced race of machines that wipe out all advanced life in the Milky Way every 50k years, like clockwork) induced extermination. Our hero must combat, negotiate – politically and, otherwise – his way to allegiances which will aid him in his ultimate goal. Each decision affects the character’s morality, and overall gameplay, some decisions affect the story in later titles.

Although the interactive gaming firm, Bioware, had expressed intentions to remaster the Mass Effect Trilogy, as early as 2014, it wasn’t until 2020 – a few months before the N7 Day announcement – that they earnest work towards Mass Effect Legendary Edition began. This is an adventure I could see myself happily undertaking again, from scratch, with a new character – and a fresh group of friends.

You’ll arrive on the familiar planet of Pandora to find it overrun by bandits and on the verge of total collapse. But, this time around, you aren’t stuck on Pandora, you’ll venture to several varied and jaw-dropping beautiful planets, and each stands out visually in a way the series rarely has before.  Every planet is generously littered with chests, collectables and amusing easter eggs that make exploration almost as fun as combat. The vault hunters that you and your team ( up to 4. ) will take control off have had their versatility boosted by a choice of 3. different action skills. selectable at the top of each notable beef-ed up skilled tree. Except for MO’s, who gets to customise her max load-out.

There is a lot of neat details to sore through when it comes to your classes progression.

Play with Friends

Playing with friends is better then ever, thanks to the new ping system – which can be used on enemies, items or the environment. But the co-op feature that really stands out in 2019., is the ability to share or trade weapons and other gear after you’ve used them . Since they don’t bind to your character when equipped. It’s also worth noting that your team can choose to play in cooperation mode, which turns on instants elude and forgiving level scaling for competition mode – which disables scaling and let the fastest player get all the items, like in the old days.

Missions , lots of missions

Perhaps Borderlands 3. greatest triumph is that it never felt monotonous over more than 30. hours of game play. I kept waiting for the energetic pace in which new enemies, weapon types and mission structures were introduced to slow a grind, but it never did. For starters, if your Echo 3. mission log didn’t clearly label them as such, I would have hard time distinguishing Borderlands 3. side missions from the main story missions, and I absolutely mean that as a compliment. The optional tasks divided up on different planets are creative and enjoyable. There are definitely some fetch-and-kill quests, but there is always some twist which makes them feel unique – and when there is not, borderlands 3. self-deprecating humour makes light of that situation. My absolute favourite side-missions were the ones that completely side-step convention for a quick laugh.

Guns.

Borderlands 3.s  incredibly diverse and constantly surprising arsenal absolutely steals the show . The illusion of infinite firearms is sold, much better then ever before, thanks to the sheer number of randomise elements with significant and legitimately unique effects. This meaningful weapon variance is further held along by the greater emphasis on what differentiates each manufacturer. What is most impressive about the Borderlands 3’s arsenal though, is how this weapons look and feel. It is the delightful little touches, like smoking gun etc. In the same vain, many weapons feel fantastic with a mouse and keyboard on PC thanks to pronounce recoil and crisp sound design.

Bad Guys, a.k.a Enemies.

Without giving to much away, you’ll fight against of plenty of returning B2. enemy types , along with the several new ones.Totalling up to a creative and enjoyably challenging horde . Most critter fights are fun, even though they all feel functionally the same. Meanwhile, bandits and futuristic troops do a great job of keeping you on toes. There are squads that get increasingly diverse, as you get deeper into the campaign. There are variety of different Bosses you are going to fight, which gives yet another dimension to this game.

End game, not.

Your adventure doesn’t end when the credits roll because Borderlands 3. has an end game. Most notably, there is a mayhem mode, which incrementally ups the difficulty and adds a random effects to some enemies for greater awards. After unlocking mayhem mode, you’ll also start earning all new guardian ranks which provide further stats increases and cool effects, like „increase loot luck“ after scoring a kill. Coupled this with true vault hunter, aka new game plus, the circle of slaughter, better knows as horde mode, and the all new proving ground which sort-of resemble a non randomised Diablo 3. rift and there are many enjoyable ways to skin the end game cat.

Verdict

The sheer magnitude  and diversity of its arsenal of fun and surprising weaponry is unmatched, and its  streaking amount of level detail and variety packed to its energetic and re playable 30. hour campaign is what makes the Borderlands 3. a high point for the series and the genre, as a whole.

In Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice you play the role of Wolf. You are a shinobi and your primary mission is to try and find a samurai clan that kidnapped your lord and also left you with your memory a bit broken. There are many things to like in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, one of them being the fact that you can go with a stealth approach, but you can also go guns blazing if you want. They always encourage you to use whatever strategy you want, and the AI is definitely up to par with the expectations. They will parry, they will attack you when you least expect too. Add to that the fact that most encounters will have battles with 1-3 enemies at most. The encounters are very personal and they will always push the boundaries as you try to get better and better every time you play. It’s something familiar, but with some great new elements.

No Multiplayer

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice doesn’t have any form of multiplayer, which is a bit of a shame for some players. There’s also no character creation, not to mention you are unable to level up stats. From this perspective it’s a bit more simplistic. But they included a skill tree, you can upgrade your gear and so on.

When it comes to attacks, the game is more about unbalancing the enemy and trying to give a killing blow rather than removing health points. It’s a refreshing idea and it does pay off big time as you can imagine right from the start. The clear attention to detail and unique set of features, which is a very important aspect to think about all the time.

The stealth in this game is amazing, since you can easily play through most of the game without killing enemies directly. So you can focus on exploration if you want, but there are moments when killing enemies is a must. You can revive your character on the spot if you have enough power, or you can revive yourself at the checkpoints. It’s also nice to see the addition of a grappling hook. This hook brings in more versatility and it provides you with some resounding and powerful ideas both for combat and exploration.

Conclusion

Overall, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice looks amazing, has a great soundtrack and it will impress you with the amazing quality and value brought to the table. If you are very passionate about very complex, difficult games with unique mechanics then Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is definitely the right title for you. It doesn’t have a huge replay value, but it does provide a wonderful story and a great game experience as a whole.

Yes, the game does continue the Mortal Kombat X story but it also brings in some ideas like time travel and alternate timelines. It’s great because you will have younger versions of Raiden, Jade, Erron Black, Kano, Kung Lao and so on. The story itself is quite long, it has impressive cut scenes and you will like it quite a lot especially if you liked the previous versions.

Aside from the favourite brutalities and fatalities you also have Krushing Blows. These are a cinematic variations of a special moves, similar to the MKX brutalities which is very nice. That being said, you also have the Fatal Blows that are similar to the X Ray movies, but this time you can access them only if your health is under 30%.

Mortal Kombat 11 also adds a unique Flawless Block mechanic that offers you a comeback window after you blocked an attack. They even brought back Mercy, a mechanic from MK3 where you can revive the opponent and give them some life. This is a unique approach towards the game and it does bring in front new ways for all of us to play and enjoy the title.

Just like Injustice 2, you do have character customisation, which is named a custom variation here. This one is allowing you to customise how the character looks, there are some great outfits that you will enjoy. But this time around the way you dress is not changing your abilities in any way. So you can rely on your own skill here, not on the cosmetics.

Speaking of cosmetics, Mortal Kombat 11 does rely on micro transactions for those and you can end up paying a while lot of money here, which can become a problem most of the time. Either that, or you can expect playing the towers of time, living towers and challenge towers to get the coins you want for a certain unlock. Sure, it’s ok to have cosmetics that you have to grind to unlock, but there are a lot of them and some calculated that you will have to spend upwards of $6000 to acquire everything. But cosmetics are not affecting the game in any way, so if you choose to ignore them for a while you can probably grind for them and eventually acquire these through regular play.

Mortal Kombat 11 has lots of DLC characters too. But even with the core roster and their variations you get quite a lot of stuff here and you will appreciate the unique array of visuals and quality brought to the table. Yes, Mortal Kombat 11 might have micro transactions, yet the game play is fresh, fun and full of creative ideas. If you are very passionate about action-packed, unique fighting games, this is by far one of the best out there.

Local Co-OP Game

While searching for the best games to play with my kids on a one screen, only recently I’ve discovered Lego Marvel Superheroes. And since the game and it’s game style are so amusing, kids and I are already playing Lego Marvel Superheroes 2!
If you haven’t played the first one, let me explain what the game is all about.
Action involves lightweight combat with all sorts of superheroes characters to solve environmental puzzles. It can be played as a single player, or you can co-op with someone using gamepads and/or controllers.
It is constantly entertaining thanks to the endless puns from Spiderman or Mrs Marvel…
They have made improvements since the first game in gameplay like showing which character should do something, instead of just trying all of them like it was the case in the Lego 1. Also, the story is exponentially larger and there are tons of subplots you can dive in and mysteries to solve.

New Lego Adventures

All of this means, setting to the campaign changes drastically and often – creating unique scenarios. One moment you’ll be fighting knights on the streets of evil England – the next you’ll me infiltrating the bases in the black panther’s homeland. These sequences are always a treat, especially because they’re doing a good job of breaking up the increase in predictability of a lego gameplay which still shows here in an abundance. Adding further variety and some new time travel mechanics.
The best things about this game is that it is packed with heroes and villains from both familiar and most obscure corners of the marvel universe. Each character comes with special skills for combat and puzzles and the length that it goes to make each stand-out are sometimes astonishing.

Final Say

Lego marvel superheroes 2 doesn’t deviate much from the established templates but its wide variety of setting, heroes and abilities make it constantly fun to play. The combat is still quite simple and the only real problem is to find out what you are supposed to do next in all the chaos but its all usually so fun that these mild annoyances fade into the background.
